Jessica, you are looking so much lighter and I’m not talking about weight! It’s so great to see you smiling more and shining your light.

I loved this! I've been binging your gameschool videos lately. I am on year 3 of homeschooling (I've got 3 out of 4 kiddos in school now) and my husband recently went back into the military, so homeschooling has proven to be a great lifestyle choice for us. We got stationed in Florida in the middle of the fall last year and I was able to take two weeks off when we needed to move. I'm not sure I have a style. In terms of subjects taught I tend to follow the Well Trained Mind, but how they're taught I'd say I follow Charlotte Mason (because books are my jam), mixed with needing structured curriculum because that's just how my brain works. If I had to choose 3 resources - it would probably be books, games, and math manipulatives. Math is my favorite subject, and I can struggle to explain a concept that just naturally clicks in my brain. Math manipulatives really really help me get something across to my children. Science is probably my least favorite subject to teach because I think you get the most out of it when you can do hands on learning. And that's what I struggle with the most in homeschooling. I just do not seem to have the capacity for experiments and such. Things I do just for myself... read, read, read. But I also love homeschooling and all of the planning and research that goes into it - it's pretty much a full hobby for me.

We have a VERY similar homeschool style. That could be because we use Waldock Way for a LOT of our learning. I glean a lot from you and its helped bring back the joy of homeschooling again. This year I have been trying yo bring more games into the mix and the kids are enjoying it. On the other end, we have had to let go of some of our activities so we can simplify and soak up what is important or needs more focus. Thank you for motivating and encouraging homeschool families. 💛

I'm newer to homeschooling. Yet, my three would be books, wifi, and art craft supplies would be my go-to as of right now 😅

I feel you math. I hired an online math tutor for Right Start math. I am homeschooling an only daughter too. It is better that I am more of the cheerleader for math.
