This is the best ProClick video I have seen. Thank you for being clear, concise and to the point.

I can't tell you how satisfying that was to watch. I didn't know a darn thing about this contraption until your channel. I hate when the pages in our workbooks don't lay flat. If we end up homeschooling long term I may need one of these.

Thanks for this review! I was just waiting for an order from a printing company that cost more than the entire binding machine and spines, and it would have taken a month to get to me. I just purchased the binding system (using your link) and canceled my order with the printing company and it actually saved me money! Thanks so much!

How do you take the spine off books? I usually take them to Officemax but is there an easier way?
@TheWaldockWay5 жыл бұрын
I just use a pencil or pen and run it down the spine and it opens back up.
@rolandabradley61935 жыл бұрын
@@TheWaldockWay Oh no, I meant a book that you want to put the spirals on. So, a book that doesn't have the tear sheets in it to just tear the pages out and then put the binding on it. I always take those books to office max and they take the spine off, so I can then take it home and bind it with my proclick. (Does that makes sense the way I'm explaning it?

Rolanda, when I remove the spines off books (to prepare to coil/spiral bind them), I use a ruler and a utility knife on a cutting mat. If it’s a thick book, I split the book into sections of 1/8 inch thick or so (maybe a bit thicker, but 1/4” is too thick) and cut the spine off each section. I have the ProClick system as well as a spiral binding system, and I like each of them for different reasons. 💕 I have bound dozens of books this way.

I have a bunch of spiral coils (like in a paper notebook). Do you think they will work with this punch? I guess I need the spacing btw the holes. Thanks for sharing! Great video.

I know this is a question - 2 years later - 🤦🏽♀️ but have you ever cut the spine to make a mini book? Thank you so much for this video!!

Yes I have. I just cut it with scissors

Thanks so much for this video! Does the weight of your paper matter? For example, do you find that plain jane 20 lb. copy paper tears more easily at the proclick holes? Or does heavier paper, say 24 lb., reduce the punch-ability down to 4 pages? I'm considering getting a proclick to bind music for my piano students. Thanks again!
@matildarei4 жыл бұрын
I have used thinner 20# paper and had no problems; with a 3-ring binder, all of the stress is in 3 places on the paper; with the ProClick, the stress is evenly distributed among 32 places along the side of the paper, so the likelihood of tearing is significantly reduced.

Can you bind workbooks that are smaller than your normal 8.5"x11"?
@jessicabailey69524 жыл бұрын
Also, do you have to use the ProClick spines or can you use coil or comb spines?
@TheWaldockWay4 жыл бұрын
If you cut tge spines yes you can. And I have only ever used the Proclick apines personally.

Hi! I hope you get this question because I know this was posted a long time ago- sorry, but I was curious if it’s possible to cut the spines down shorter? I’m trying to decide whether to get the proclick and I love that they can be reopened, but if I want to make shorter booklets, do you think it would be possible to cut the spines shorter?
@TheWaldockWay4 жыл бұрын
You can, I was able to just use regular scissors to cut mine smaller.
