Enjoying the beauty of nature is soothing and healing. It doesn’t have to be a hike. It can be as simple as watching squirrels and birds from your window, or growing and caring for a plant. If you are able to, even a short walk in the fresh air can improve your outlook. Weather permitting, I recommend going outside at night to marvel at the wonder of the moon and stars. We forget what a remarkable show the heavens display free of charge. I hope you all find peace and a sense of purpose in the coming year.

I can relate, Cliff. My father was a mean person, to put it lightly and my parents separated over 30 years ago. They are both gone now. My mom and I got along fine. We did a lot of traveling once she was free from the abuse. It has taken me many years to be able to handle holidays without her. I am thankful God is always near and He can bear any trouble I may have. I have a great church family and a wonderful husband and son. We care about you, Cliff.

I used to go camping on Jack's Mountain over 30 yrs ago,some rugged areas up there. There was a fire tower there that offered a great view of the surrounding terrain,and an old quarry where we cut firewood. Great video Cliff ,I'll keep watching

I hear ya on being down. You're made me forget about my ex that left me 6 years ago,but I feel sad that I can't go to the places you do cause I have no one to take me. My kids aren't interested in day trips or history and I miss trips so much. I feel out of place even with my kids. Never wanted to be alone. This hike was very strenuous. Too bad there wasn't more to see. The town was nice tho. Safe travels as always ❤❤❤❤

Cliff, I share your depression on holidays of late. I lost my 2 dearest friends and miss our phone calls to each other. 1:31 I try to only remember the crazy times we had. ❤

I'm really sorry to hear that the holidays can be hard and difficult for you, Cliff. I definitely know how you're feeling; the holidays are hard and depressing for me. They seem to be more problematic and lackluster. Too much family fighting and attitudes. Not the same anymore as when we were little, when it was joyful. I'm really sorry you have to go through that.

I thought u and ur mom got along good Cliff.I only have my stepdad.My cousins don't and never did bother with me.But I don't care.I don't really have friends either.So what.They,re pagan holidays anyway.I don't even really celebrate them
