Man i wish i was already retired si that i could attempt my own AT thru hike. Well i will have to be satisfied with doung more trail magic from max patch ans hot springs on northbound up through erwin,roab mtn,hampton,shady valley heading towards grayson highlands,mt rogers and atkins areas. I did trail magic last year from april 1 st through end of may. It was an awesome experience getting to meet so many cool hikers. I loved asking where people were from and why they decided to do their thru hike. So when you hike into them trail heads in western nc,eastern tn and southwestern regions in virginia look for the tall white bearded guy in a bronze harvest metallic colirado zr2 truck. I wll have all kinds of beverages and fruit snacks. Plus i will have the coleman camping grill fired up serving hamburgers and a pot of boiling water warming up hot dogs. Tell me what snacks most hikers prefer to receive for trail magic. Famoua easyern tennessee AT shuttle driver Ms Janet Hensley meet me on seveeral times last year. She can vouch that i am a good person. I found out last year that hikers loved nutter butters,oreos ans skuttles candies.

I wish you could hike this year, too! When do you plan to retire and get on trail? Maybe some section hikes until then? We’ll be looking out for you. Looks like lots of us are repeat offenders this year. Can't wait to meet y'all. I think I might start from Harper's Ferry or McAfee's Knob next week beginning a SOBO flip, but I will have my vehicle for at least some parts of the trail and might do some bouncing around due to weather and such.
