I love hearing Rev Chris speak, he’s so level-headed and very compassionate and he’s been a big encouragement for me for years now. I’m halfway through the video and I really agree with everything said. I’m not sure if it was mentioned later on in the video, but I wanted to add that I also think that social media is inherently a distractor from God. Rev Chris mentioned in the other video that we need moments of silence in our life to hear God. Think of all the people who have to scroll through social media to wake up. So many of us cannot stand sitting still for 20 minutes in the doctor’s office or on the metro without scrolling on our devices.… we are filling our precious moments of silence with distraction. Even the world acknowledges this is very unhealthy for us and our outlook and our brains. This is time where we can be alone with God, but our attention spans have gotten so destroyed due to social media we must feed every minute of our day, from the time we wake up until the time we fall asleep, with stimulation. It’s so toxic and I believe the devil is using this to distance our minds from God.

You were talking about our instant life styles. In the waiting I believe we need to remember God’s timing; Spring time (seed planting time) and Harvest. There’s lots of waiting (sunshine and rain) in our lifetime.
