Mental and physical health should always be priority in life. I left a job that made my mental health take a nose dive, to work for a place that I made $6 less an hour. My mental health has been the best its been and I have been promoted a couple of times so now Im making more than that last job. These athletes pulling out to protect their mental health makes me have so much more respect for them. Im proud of them for realizing and being strong enough to put that first over money and wins.

I sincerely mean this, your a natural born pastor. I’ve been to many churches in my life, and my parents always say, “You don’t go to a church for a pastor, but to praise GOD”. Reason being that we’ve experienced so many bad pastors who in simple words prioritize their image, rather than the church. Although we are from different denominations, our roots are what make us brothers and sisters. 🙌

I have to tell you that what you do matters. I, an atheist/agnostic (that changed a lot through the years but never in a passive or indifferent way), recently got a knock from God. Not a slight nudge like "I'm here", but like knocked my final wall down with knowlege. I felt so great, but then realised I don't really have any christians in my life. I can't ask anyone what to do with this new info that has flipped my life around. I did remember seeing you on Jolly, and have been happy to listen to your words. There's also other two priests on youtube whose video I was actually watching at the time that God decided to just stream love into me and change everything I thought I knew (though that is turning out to be a process, one that I am not complaining about!). Anyway, wanted to let you know that you're a light, your precence and your words online make a difference, and you make people like me feel a little less alone on the human part of the journey towards God. Thank you so much for it. P.S. Sorry for some possible mistakes, English is my second language. :)

Such a stunning testimony! I'm sorry to hear you don't have many Christians around you, maybe that's changed since you posted this comment. I pray you have found the right community to help you strengthen and grow through God. His love is one of a kind. Agape. God bless you 💕💜

@@banan_9672 Thank you!! The situation has changed SO much. I have found a community of other Christians from all sorts of backgrounds, and I am on a journey to become more involved with faith. I am so weirded out and also happy that this has happened. I give thanks for people like you, and now especially you. :)

Really needed this. Just a few days ago I was diagnosed with severe depression and general anxiety disorder, because I have been pushing myself to always do better and to be "the best". But now I realize that I have to take a step back and take care of myself. Thanks for this video Rev Chris!

This is going to be strange, but I want to thank you. I've directed a friend of mine who was struggling with addiction, grief and pain to you. Your Instagram, new podcast, KZbin videos, even the jolly and Korean Englishman videos. They've all helped place him in a better place now. Your words meant so much to someone who was in a place so dark. Truly.. thank you chris, for your words, your faith and love

This came at the right moment, last week I took a rest from my volunteerwork, I was overwhelmed and needed a break. Before the breakdown I felt like I was conquering the problems on my own, during and after I knew I am not alone. People were there for me that moment, and they still are, God never leaves!

So glad I came across your channel!!! I can’t wait to watch all your videos. Have you thought about a Podcast? I’d love to listen to your message while at work. You direct yourself as Jesus would. Some American pastors in the south would condemn Billie Eilish instead of trying to understand her plight and messages and interpret it through love!! God bless you Rev Chris!

Hey Rev Chris! 🥰 I’m not sure if you’ll read this, but I just wanted to let you know that I really loved your past sermons videos on your youtube channel that were all around 10-20min long. I could genuinely listen to you talk about Faith and God for several hours. I listen to these videos as I try to sleep or meditate in God’s presence. I am really hoping you can share more of Gods word in the future with these longer videos 🙏🏼 It would be much appropriated! much love ❤️

Its very comforting to know that your words reach more ears and hearts than any other priest ive ever known. You have been helping me pretty much every day since I found the Jolly channel. Like many other people commenting I too was struggling between choosing mental health and work. I've been feeling extremely guilty and depressed about my choice to take care of myself first. I have been suffocating with anxiety about how I will pay my bills, but with this I will try to worry less and know that as long as I keep faith and keep trying the Lord will guide me to a solution. Thank you for bringing true faith and Godly love to people.

Hi Rev. Chris, I am a Christian. I am in my twenties and a couple of weeks ago I was planning my suicide this isn't the first time. I am still here and in the process of trusting Jesus as my father. God as my shepherd. it's an ongoing thing(faith) that won't grow overnight. I have many dreams that I want to fulfil before I leave this earth and rather not test him again. Cheers, a fellow Jollibean :)

On a day to day basis, I don't know what I believe. I don't really think that matters. Regardless, I think we are must all love mercy, do justice, and walk humbly with our God. Whatever that means. That Merton passage always moves me deeply. I am really quite misty right now.

Hey Rev Chris, could you make more guided meditations please? As a trauma survivor with lots of fears and triggers, I could really use something like that to feel safe and calm. Though there are plenty of such videos on KZbin, I can’t relax to them unless I trust the person behind the meditation. I don’t know you personally, but it helps that I’ve been seeing you on JOLLY and Korean Englishman for years. Just a request for your consideration. Thank you!

Hello Rev Chris! I've found your channel through Jolly, and have really loved all of your guest appearances on their channel. I grew up Christian (Seventh Day Adventist), then became atheist for the last decade or so, and have now just begun to look at Christianity/Jesus again. NEVER thought I'd come back this way, what a doozy. Anyway! I have a question about what you said in this video if you don't mind (if you even see this!). I'm a "recovering people pleaser", and I'd love to know what you have to say about the difference between the concept of pleasing people and the concept of pleasing God. I hear "pleasing" and I think of masking how I think or feel in order to placate someone, or going out of my way to make someone else happy who may otherwise be upset (aka, avoiding conflict!). But here it definitely sounds like you're using a different concept of "pleasing"...almost the opposite, actually! Being open, honest, unsure and vulnerable, but still faithful. Can you maybe clarify what you think about the difference between the two? I would so appreciate it! I don't even know if you're going to see this, but I hope so :)

"Though shall not make idols" how is it though that in modern Christianity most believers idolize jesus as someone whos above man and even put him almost next god as a divine entity. Does that not lead to deception of oneself and eventually seeking for prove rather than hope and trust and results in loss of faith and love from above

You still active? Nothing posted for a while. Just this question: What if purgatory meant being forced to sit down until you understand every consequence of every choice in life? For some, this would take thousands of years, right? I wonder if that would be the worst circle of hell, having to face your worst actions with open eyes, no filters?
