I'm watching this video as i am creating my website lol ... and you dont have to code in the collor you want your text, its already a feature in the text editor, you just have to click the icon all the way second from the right it kinda looks like a keyboard next to the other options to bold, italic, center and ect. it says toggle toolbar when you hover over it (shift+alt+z) A drop down menu will appear, hope that helps.

@thewebsitearchitect - very good condensed crash course even with the swearing thrown in lol. Having used the Avada Page builder however, I find WP bakery fundamentally flawed in several areas. In WPB you cannot save columns as templates separately to rows. You can not add name labels to containers, rows, columns, or sections for ease of identification (e.g. in examples where you have the same row/container as 3 separate instances, each being a specific layout to be rendered on different responsive viewports), this is a pain as its not easy to understand at a glance, which is which. Worst of all however, you cannot export and import saved library templates/items from one wbe instance to another (e.g. working on a page design in a staging instance and exporting/importing the page elements into the prod instance). Avada page builder and Avada core do all of these things and are a step above in many respects compared to WBP. They are also Free with the Avada theme! It's a pain because Im forced to work with WPB but despite being touted as the best WP builder, its quite a few levels below the benchmark despite being a charged for product!
