I absolutely love the simplicity and the elegance of the nikah. It's truly beautiful. However, a lot of people in the comments are criticizing those who choose to have a more visibly made up look for their big day. We're not supposed to judge. If someone wants to have a big wedding, it doesn't necessarily mean the bride can't have noor on her face or the wedding can't be elegant. Do you realize that when you criticize a bride for her dressing or a wedding for being 'not as simple as you'd have liked' that it's just as hurtful as people nitpicking brides jahaiz or criticizing the bride's appearance? All weddings are special and all brides are beautiful. Let people express their joy in whichever way they like. Let's be less judgemental. That's one thing I wish we change about ourselves as a society; to be less judgemental of other people's choices and decisions.

I agree with everything you've state here. The purpose of a nikaah is to lovingly bind two people together, and it is so obvious that this happened here, in an elegant, intimate ceremony. I have come to abhor massive weddings, and appreciate the smaller gathering, where the couple can hear each other accepting their partner - that's the most important part 💕
