I mean yah...SL as a story in mid or above average at best (yes, for most people who consumes manhwas for a long time would accept this). What made SL where it is now was some God-tier panels and amazing fighting sequences. SUng-rak is a legend who kinda put manhwas to much more global spotlight and his art becam the backbone of Redice Studio.

Absolutely. The story is actually quite meh and all over the place, but for some reason it is still incredibly engaging. I've read it twice and enjoyed it even though I found faults at almost every junction. (Main one: Mc becomes op way too quickly)

The real reason solo leveling is so hyped to people originally stems back to how Sword Art Online left the online world too quickly. People demanded and were eager to watch more of Kirito but sadly it didn’t matter as SAO started to declined. So when a black haired guy who wields a sword in a game that if you die u also die in real life and the only chance to survive is get stronger was animated, people loved it immediately.

What I loved the most about solo leveling is that all the craziness and things that make skeptics roll there eyes, "Oh he is the only one that levels up?" "Oh now he and only he has this super OP ability?" All of these end up being lore related and actually crucial at the end game. Almost EVERYTHING comes back in interesting and critical ways. So even as it tickles the overpowered protagonist part of my brain it still tickles the story growth and lore parts just as much.

The web novel has been officially translated into books and are finished here at least in audio format on audible. I believe the books are too. Officially tappy toon has finished the entire manhwa to read on there as well. The prints are not finished though. Appreciate your content I’m glad everyone is excited for this manhwa adaptation.

If you mean the manhwa, you can find official and fan translations online. Manhwa is originally made and released digitally, and it only gets printed afterwards. So it shouldn't really take away from the experience unless you heavily prefer physical copies

One slight correction: the Hunter Association doesn't necessarily decide who gets to go into dungeons. They manage the sale and auction of the rights to clear individual dungeons to guilds, who are groups of hunters that operate as for-profit companies. This drives the guilds to make heavy profits from dungeons and compete with the others for territory. This may be different in the web novel though, so grain of salt.

That's pretty correct, the only thing you missed is that Jin woo and co. at the start work directly for the hunters association essentially clearing the dregs that no guilds want.

The only "requirement" is to complete his daily quest, which he is allowed to fail. He could have technically refused to claim his rewards (they also dont give xp directly) or accepted the punishment, thus remaining in E rank power level (ignoring the fact that he will always be considered "E rank" until being re-evaluated)

It is a power fantasy with a character that is closer to just being an archetype rather than having actual personality, there is no actual struggle (a bit at the start, then the mc is always over powered for the situation they're in at any given time (Seriously, the S class hunters become a joke way too fast)). I was still able to enjoy reading through it twice.
