After thinking about it, Akame ga Kill's Night Raid is probably heavily inspired by Black Cat's Chronos Numbers both are elite assassination group and each members wield special weapons: Teigu (Imperial Arms) for Night Raid and Orichalcum Weapons for Chronos Numbers. EDIT: HOLY SHIT I just realized Lubbock's weapon is literally the same as Jenos Hazard no wonder it seems familiar!

I love the deep meaning behind the show. Everyone who killed others all died. Even if their killing was for justice, no one survived. It breaks away from the usual anime style, and deaths are actually impactful. It sends the message that murder will never be redeemable

Sheele is one of my favorite characters in Akame ga kill and I feel like she would’ve won easily and cleared her mission were it not for her having to save mine multiple times in the battle against Seryu and her bitch dog. She was handling both Seryu and her dog with EASE, and she had a lot of opportunities to kill Seryu but she had to save Mine multiples times which ultimitely lead to her death. Tatsumi is the MAIN character in AGK. It's listed everywhere. I wish ppl would stop this Akame truther debate. She isn't the MC and never was. Akame is just the title character/mascot character. Tatsumi is the MC in the manga and the anime. Akame is only the MC in AGK Zero and she's not even the MC of Hinowa ga Crush. Just because a character's name is in the title doesn't mean they're the MC. For example, Index from "A Certain Magical Index" is NOT the MC, Touma is.

Akame never connected with me that much, we only get hints of her dark past. She always felt like a distant watcher in Night raid, hardly ever interacting with anyone other than Lione

The story is literally about Tatsumi's recruitment in Night Raid and his development as an assassin. He drives the story forward most of the time.
