With the help of a few friends, we installed brand-new hardwood garden beds, transforming his outdoor space into something truly special. What a wonderful gift. When he started to tear up, I did too. I'm in my 70's and my garden has run away on me too. I can't keep up and it hurts my heart. I know how he felt. We want to keep doing all of the things we did when we were younger but our bodies won't let us.

I was sick for 6 yrs and could not weed my garden. It was very difficult to get help to hand weed even when I wanted to pay. Now I'm well. I've started a gardening business where I do small garden maintenance for the elderly or sick at reasonable prices. I encourage them to come out and sit and watch or even help. I don't mow, I just weed and take away the trash. I want my clients to enjoy planting into their garden beds again. Keeping people at home and out in the garden instead of a nursing home is important to me.

There's a few gardens in my little town all taken care of by people older than me. None of the younger people do a garden. I am early 60s and my work takes too much time for me to garden and do it justice. I always hoped that by this age I would have a nice garden. I feel my time is running out. My kids and their families don't live near enough to assist me so I need to get one in shape before I get old. Thank you again!

Love you weedy you are a wonderful human, I’m learning so much from you You know I’m going to tell my story 😃 I’m 31 I grew up in a little village in south Spain where all people knows each other my father and me used to have almost 300 beehives growing our own food and veggies . things happened couple years ago and I decided to move to Australia everything changed since then but something inside me is telling me that I have to keep that knowledge and all the traditions that my family taught me. This is what life is all about for me. These moments when you can do something for someone that has a huge impact on their quality of life in some way. Sometimes its small things like a phone call and a conversation, sometimes its a hug, sometimes its helping in some small way and sometimes its a very long commitment of making someone feel aupported and loved just by always being there.
