Here’s a story; this is how I discovered The Weeknd back when I was around 12, 13 years old. Growing up I was always a fan of Michael Jackson, I looked up Dirty Diana on KZbin and Michael’s version popped up, then I see The Weeknd right under it, but it wasn’t called Dirty Diana, it was called D.D, I was curious so I clicked it and listened to it, let’s just say I’m a huge Weeknd fan now, The King would be so proud of you, keep making music, keep doing what you’re doing, Michael’s blessing you from above. This is the first ever song i heard by the Weeknd. I was bored browsing through youtube early 2013 and was watching Michael Jackson music video's because im a huge fan. Saw this in the recommendations bar and suddenly got transported into another world. His angelic vocals painting devious pictures with the heavy drums and the eerie pitched vocals in the background made for a haunting beautiful listening experience, and most similar cover to Michael Jackson to date, i thought i was hearing a remix at first, i was astounded. I replayed it over and over then listened to other songs on his you tube. I fell in love and was anticipating his next album, which was kissland.
