Love your channel! We recently returned from a Southwest parks road trip and 100% concur with your advice of hitting them in the off season. Because we went in early November, no reservations were necessary and we were able to find availability in the Zion Lodge and El Tovar. Crowds were light and the weather was wonderful - sunny and in the 50s during the day, but cold (20s and 30s) at night. And Moab has such a great vibe! Since there’s no lodging inside of Arches, we stayed at the Hoodoo Moab, which is a Hilton property. Great hotel!

Thanks for watching and commenting. Yeah, i need to go back to Zion- to do a big video like this! but only if the rooms are under $100. These videos don’t make much $ Check out my New Mexico Parks and native sites video- also good in the off-season.

"Copperlite" Great video Steve. I've been to Moab many times and I still haven't seen it all either. I present the following for consideration for inclusion in future videos. Goblin Valley Sp. Moonscape Overlook, Moki Queen (all towards Hanksville). The Needles, Anticline and Syncline Overlooks provide great views (for absolutely free, save fuel costs) off of highway 191 of the Canyonlands region. I do it is sad what happened to the Dewey Bridge, I am glad I had a chance to see it (pre 2008).

Thanks- i’ve been to Goblin and it’s included in my Utah Parks/ grand circle video. I went to Hanksville in Oct and tried to find the MoonScape overlook- where is it? exactly. I saw several dirt roads - some with warnings. If you know how to get there and if my all wheel drive Hyundai hybrid suv can safely drive it - please provide instructions. I’ve never heard of syncline overlook. where is it and the other places u mentioned. btw- you’re the first copperlite. thanks. btw- YT controls the amount of ads- how frequent were they? i’ve written them to try to reduce their number- and they cut my recommendations in half so i don’t complain anymore.

@ I have premium membership so I don’t get ads. Needless Overlook and Anticline overlook are off the same road leading from 191 (Needles Overlook Road). Syncline overlook is a turnout just before the Anticline one (by a large rock), both are on road 132 which branches off from the main Overlook Road.

@ The Moonscape overlook is 10.5 miles west of Hanksville (north of hwy 24). Take a right on Factory Butte rd (6650) for 6.5 miles, right on Coal Mine rd for 2 miles. Road accessibility may depend on the weather. My CRV did fine but conditions were dry.

Hmm I’ve been down that road. i went over 22 miles. One on the sunset drone shots was shot where i turned around. Next time i’ll go my mileage. Weirdly the gas station and motel lady couldn’t give me mileage point
