I've been playing this game since the Beta in 2007. I've had my gripes with various issues over the years but nothing like the bot crisis has infuriated me with such absolute indignation. You can see it in my content- I don't make videos about this game really but the nature of this issue just felt like a rallying cry to action had to be done despite any & all critics. I'm so glad people fought for this game & came out victorious. It's super corny but it really does make me choke up a bit as I feel like fans of TF2 really have a unique connection to it, and it was just getting beaten into the ground with no hope on the horizon for years, despite a very sizeable chunk of passionate fans & a beloved franchise. The way this has played out, with such an unexpectedly positive resolution in the past months makes this OG happy to be a member of this community. I hope we never have to do this nonsense again and see it thrive for another decade+.

I cannot stress it enough when I say that I am so so grateful for everything that you and everyone else has done for us. From the sleepless nights, the drama, the backlash, and the overall mental haul of it all, has been worth it. Now I can say that my name (I think it was my channel name instead of my real name, damnit) is inside of a multi-BILLION dollar company that created one of, if not, my favorite game ever made. I mean it when I say this, thank you. Thank you for everything. :)

as expected it is a VAC upgrade made for all source games that support it if it works on an old spaghetti code game with its sc leaked it'll work on S2 they appreciate their effort on it not being in vain and earning money without doing anything for it themselves except security that petition is pretty much a love letter some developers truly appreciate though can't say i didn't expect that anyways

I remember when the movement first started, I had massive doubts, lost an entire gaming guild due to our leader being a bot hoster, and recieved a ton of backlash at school from signing the petition, but with my love for the game, and the community, im glad to see it was all worth it :)

What I've realized about any large community gaming or not, is that a majority of people dont enage if it's something "good", but not "great". Yet, the contrarians and people who disagree will almost always be more vocal than the majority. It takes something truely amazing to have it be the other way around.

Alright! We're done! I'm so glad you guys went this far to actually go through the entire premise of the protest. I'm just happy to see the book arrived safely in the office and that's that. I'm happy the bots are gone. I'm happy that so many people contributed. Thanks TF2 community, seriously o7 P.S. I sort of feel like a dick now, because I really really really didn't think any of this would work. Bitter pessimism got the best of me at the start, but then, day by day, I've seen the community go on and on with the protest and collectively trying to achieve something. Later on, said pessimism, as things started to die down a month after the start of the movement, turned into negative criticism from my side - "uwaaah, why aren't these guys doing anything", well knowing that you were the ones that jump-started it in the first place. Hiccups are bound to happen, and now that I've gotten your perspective, I understand why things went the way they did. I feel genuinely bad about it, and I'm sorry. "How am I letting myself get so bitter and unmotivated over this fixtf2 thing?". Dude, ditto. I'm just glad you never gave up. Alright then, that's that, fixtf2 has run its course, and its finally time to let it rest for good. What a time to be a TF2 community member, huh? Thanks, seriously, thanks.

Glad to put my name to it. Honestly this recent community win has given me the motivation to pick up tf2 again for the first time in over a year. At that point I was so frustraited that I paid for my jungle inferno contracker and couldn't get use out of it outside of casual matchmaking that I just gave up and moved onto other games. I dont know how long this peace will last, but let's enjoy it while it does.

There are more reasons and ways to dislike #FixTF2 than just acting a soyjak, you know. And whether you like it or not, the bots were gone long before the book got delivered, which is indicative of the fact that a fix was getting cooked up long before #FixTF2 even began.
@ben.juan.4 ай бұрын
@@GotGooped if you put it like that yes, TF2 indeed died but in a corporative way, cuz the game itself and its community are stil alive, TF2 will die entirely when valve decides to shut down the game (wich is inevitable but it wont happend anytime soon) and the community slowly desolves forgeting the game, on most that i said thats one way of how a online game dies in my oppinion (the other being all the people, veterans and newcomers leaving due to ammaunt of bots,cheaters or simply cuz the game becamed an awfull pay2win.(im looking at you pixel gun)).

really awesome. this kinda feels like a send off for tf2 - were not gonna get any actual content, actual big updates, and thats fine. but the bots are defeated, the people behind it will hopefully find a better use of their time and become better people, and we can enjoy the game for as long as it will last (which will definitely be another 10 years at least, even if it fizzles out). In the words of Heavy: "I am very happy!" Cheers.
