Smithsonian Cover-Up: Ancient Egyptians and Giants in the Grand Canyon
In 1908, President Teddy Roosevelt wanted to declare the Grand Canyon off-limits to all timber and mining operations. It would take another 11 years for Congress to designate the Grand Canyon a national park.
Sensing a final opportunity for adventure, explorer G.E. Kincaid took a boat down the Colorado River and through the Grand Canyon. The canyon was rich in minerals like gold, silver and copper and Kincaid wanted to see what he could find before the area was closed off for good.
About 40 miles up-river from the El Tovar Crystal canyon, Kincaid saw stains in the sediment formation about 2,000 feet up. He tied off the boat and got out to investigate.
Kincaid couldn't find a trail, but after a short hike he found something interesting covered in desert brush. Steps. Hundreds of them. Carved in sandstone. Steps that wound their way up to a high shelf on the side of the canyon.
He followed the steps until he came across a cavern entrance. An entrance that was clearly man made.
Kincaid entered the cavern and turned on his flashlight.
On the walls he saw writing. But it wasn't English or Native American writing. It was Ancient Egyptian Heiroglypics.
Kincaid lifted his flashlight and saw that the tunnel ran far into the distance.
He didn't realize it at the time, but this was only the beginning.

Quite a few years I made friends with a bunch of archaeologists. And after a couple of years I asked them about this topic. They didn't reply as I expected. They told me it was the largest archaeological cover-up in the entire planet. Was easier to get a permit to dig in hostile countries we are currently at war with than it would be to go explore the Grand Canyon.
@undergrounddojokeyboardcag701

So because its difficult to get a permit for archeological digs in the (certain parts, there's plenty of places you can explore) grand canyon, that means cover up? Or is this due to the very sensitive nature of the GC and Native American history, how much we've found there (because we do regularly do archeological digs there and preserve sites) and how complex and delicate the whole thing is.

This video was very well done as always. In the late 1950's and early 60's my dad worked at the Smithsonian in the Security Police department. He worked there for a few years including pulling some night shift duties. There were times when he ventured in the basement levels and according to him he viewed several perplexing artifacts. Among them were the complete skeletons of several giants, each, according to him to be about 9 to 11 feet tall. Understand the time period thathe witnessed these things. Very few people were talking about this topic in those days. My dad asked why they were not making these skeletons public and he was essentially told to keep his mouth shut. He left a year or so later. I was born in 1966 and he told me much of this in the late 1970's. I was just a punk kid so I wasn't sure what to make of anything he told me. He only discussed this with our family and no one else. I started researching the paranormal & unexplained archeological finds in the late 80's and I realized how spot on dad descriptions actually were. R.I.P. Robert A.Walls

In the early 70s the staff at Lizard Mound Park in West Bend Wisconsin told that they excavated large bones from a mound of 8ft tall Indians. They said the Smithonion took them to study. When they requested that they be returned, the denied they had them. This was told to the visitors for years. They seemed angry and betrayed. It stuck with me ever since.

I am SO glad I found this video! I am born and raised in Arizona. My dad worked as a minor in a city called Globe, Arizona back in the 70s & 80s.. His team was contracted to do work in the Grand Canyon when I was a young boy back in the late 70s. This particular job lasted about 6 months.. He worked in multiple caves in the Grand Canyon.. he witnessed many of the things described in this video. He signed a non-disclosure of sorts back then. He saw hieroglyphs, statues, pottery as well as ancient art in a few of these caves. He was told never to speak of it or he would be arrested.. of course that was over four decades ago. Now he wants the truth to come out, and doesn't understand why it hasn't yet. He explained it as one of the most important archaeological finds in recent history.. he said there were ancient tools that didn't belong there, that were thousands of years before we thought them to be invented.. very interesting. He wants to go back soon, and says he knows ways to get to some of these caves without being detected. Our talks about going has gained momentum as of late due to his cancer diagnosis..

Eric you should record a video of everything he knows, get the exact coordinates. Ask questions, dates, times, who he was with, what was seen in which cave etc. This could easily be crowd funded and brought to light. The area is huge and only public pressure will change this, if no one goes there then it wont be brought to light. an expedition with professionals is required to bring this to light but info from people like you father are needed to pinpoint where things are and convince professionals to be on an expedition like that.

By hiding history it allows for pasts to be rewritten. Changing a past changes who people think they are. This allows for people to direct others into a different future. The future people then look back believing they are someone other than who they were. These findings confirm much historical basis for biblical history and much more.

Sometimes it's in the people's best interest to not know certain information. I learned this from Watchmen. The antagonist set off a certain type of bombs in major cities across the world and blamed it on Dr. Manhattan. This act stopped the world from a 3rd world war as it made everyone come together against a common enemy. The heroes knew about this plan and kept it a secret otherwise the world would just devolve into nuclear holocaust. Rorschach wanted to expose the truth but Dr. Manhattan had to kill him to keep the truth from getting out.

"The very word "secrecy" is repugnant in a free and open society; and we are as a people inherently and historically opposed to secret societies, to secret oaths and secret proceedings. We decided long ago that the dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts far outweighed the dangers which are cited to justify it. Even today, there is little value in opposing the threat of a closed society by imitating its arbitrary restrictions. Even today, there is little value in insuring the survival of our nation if our traditions do not survive with it. And there is very grave danger that an announced need for increased security will be seized upon those anxious to expand its meaning to the very limits of official censorship and concealment. That I do not intend to permit to the extent that it is in my control. And no official of my Administration, whether his rank is high or low, civilian or military, should interpret my words here tonight as an excuse to censor the news, to stifle dissent, to cover up our mistakes or to withhold from the press and the public the facts they deserve to know." "For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence--on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed."

I know there's a lot of stuff excavated from burial mounds in there, because I've read the archaeological reports saying as much. It'd be cool to get a look at all that they have. The archaeological community tends to keep things secret, because they don't want pedestrians artifact hunting for themselves and potentially destroying sites, but the problem is that that OHS kind of already did that. All the original tribes of Ohio are extinct except for the Miami, & the tribes that came after were around for a pretty short time, so I imagine most of the artifacts are pre-contact & no one is really left to claim any of it, either.

I think the lost civilization are the ancient Indian Asura/demons although they are the brothers of the Devas/god's, equivalent to angels. They came to earth some were good and taught humans and others were bad and wanted to use them, similar to the Enki and Enlil of Sumeria. These god's are essentially aliens, nterdimensional and reptilians

The word Ptah has the same meaning in precolombian South America and in Egypt, it means "the opening of the mouth" and in both cases it refers to a ceremony where a High Priest stands next to the altar where a human body is laying down, and 4 priests attend at the 4 corners of the altar. The only difference is that in Egypt the body on the altar was dead, getting ready for mummification, while in South America the person on the altar was alive, since the ceremony involved a human sacrifice. In ancient Egypt they thought that at death the soul leaves the body through the mouth, hence the meaning of the word Ptah. I thought it was worth mentioning.

Where I live (Northern Nevada), it's generally accepted as fact that there was indeed a population of "redheaded giants" who eventually got exterminated by the Paiute/Shoshone people many years ago. Apparently, they were cannibals, but they also ate tullies (reeds that grow on the side of a lake), and that is why they are called "si te cah", meaning "tule-eaters"... Many interesting things can be found along the shores of ancient Lake Lahontan. You just have to know where to look. Lovelock is a very strange place. Edit: the giants were not "cannibals", because they weren't human; they just ate people. I did not mean to imply that the humans were eating each other... They were not. 😬

In the Grand Canyon you can see pavements and walls of stones. The red rocks and sands are baked up limestone and clay after baking effect of the high temperature of the atmospheric air after the asteroid collision 💥. Mountains and hills are often artificially made by a prehistoric civilization of Giants. All the way from American continents to Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia you can see this. About 2 days into our trip we came to the spot the local kid had told us about. Sure as rain you could barely see the very tip of the opening and it looked like something from Egypt. We stashed our raft so we couldn't be seen and started our climb up. We made it up only to be disappointed. There is a chain link fence with razor wire and a guard. I can attest to the presence of military helicopters in the South Rim. Back in the 90's I hiked 12 miles down in the canyon and camped at Havasu Falls and a black unmarked military helicopter flew right over my head. And I thought what the hell is the military doing in the bottom of the Grand canyon 🤔 so I mentioned it to some of the Havasupai Indians that lived there and they told me there were caves that were off limits.. I never saw any caves... but I never went lookin'

I’m definitely a sucker for topics like Valiant Thor and UFO coverups, those are usually fun thought experiments with some little kernel of truth, but personally my favorites are easily these highly likely historical/geographical “conspiracies”. Major props for straight up calling the smithsonian. I subbed a while ago and I’ve even sending your videos to friends who I know will like them. I really hope you cover more of these historical topics. Lost civilizations, identical myths from supposedly disconnected civilizations, open secrets among the first peoples, etc. I think this is the most relevant and interesting stuff you do. A+ fantastic work, I’m working my way through literally every video you have. Thanks so much for putting in the work.

After you started listing off the names of the areas in the canyon, it occurred to me that it sounded like they were named as living quarters for the peoples housed there. I then recalled an episode (probably Ancient Aliens) on the History channel where they talked about a "nuclear war" that happened in southeast Asia that dates to pre-civilization of that area. Coupled with the massive flooding of the planet during the younger Dryas and the creation myths mentioned of the native populations, perhaps these caves weren't so much travelled to by the respective civilizations represented, but brought there to be protected (like a fallout shelter or ark; and who's to say those people's weren't kept there in some form of stasis) from the cataclysms and then dispersed afterwards back to their homelands. Btw, keep up the great work, and I appreciate how you show both sides of the story while staying objective throughout and not going overboard with Hecklefish's comments.

My dad had several artifacts that camp from the Mississippian Mound Builders and they were so finely crafted. Unlike the majority of other native American artifacts I've seen. He bought these artifacts in the early 50's and had them all his life. Unfortunately he passed away 6 years ago and my idiot step mother sold or gave away everything he had collected over the time of his life before I was able to get down to where they lived. By the time I got there there was barely anything let and I got only a couple artifacts but nothing from his Mound Builders collection. It made me sick to my stomach and I haven't spoke to her since.

I worked at a restaurant on the south rim for a few months and the only time I was ever yelled at by the rangers was when I wandered into a small cave visible to a trail they happened to be passing on. They didn’t care I was off trail but were stern about not entering caves. I never understood this until now.

Wow! Great episode. Thank you for this one. The biggest mystery in all of this is the Smithsonian's inability to appear to be,or actually be, transparent. People deserve to know the truth about historical findings. There are just too many assertions about the Smithsonian covering up history for there not to be at least a shred of truth to it. And you covered it so very well. You and Hecklefish are just awesome!

I have to begin by saying “Job WELL DONE!!” Out of the many channels I have subscribed to in years past, The Why Files has since set a New “Standard” as to how a channel is done RIGHT! Absolutely amazing and well thought out content A.J.! Your topics are not only interesting and gripping, but we’ll spoken, to the point, and (this coming from a 50yr old man with more hobbies than someone could shake a stick at, but as well I’ve had extreme ADD my entire life, yet your content has me 100% focused and intrigued, and always wishing each new video had 3 more hours!! I can’t exclude your comical side which also has me laughing from time to time, needless to say, Hecklefish is a spot-on addition… On that note, the same goes for many of the topics you cover….. Although I’m certainly no conspiracy, theorist by any means, it never ceases to amaze me, how naïve “Our Government” must believe WE, THE PEOPLE really are…. If any of these people who drive these Cover-ups out in the open, could take a step outside of their own little worlds for just a moment, and listen to the “reasoning” they exclaim, in a poorly orchestrated attempt to veer interest, and they could actually see how foolish these excuses really do sound!? Random anchors to prevent the dangers of rock slides? If no one is allowed anywhere near where the Smithsonian claims “nothing” lives, then WHO are they protecting dangerous rock slides from?? Ha! I believe if half of the individuals who head these cover-ups had a grain of common sense, ugh…. I just wish that common sense was actually as common as it would suggest…. Keep up the great work AJ!! (And Hecklefish of course!)
