This channel is all about racing, about the show and entertainment. You can always check laptimes at any track. I'm sure that isn't as useless.

So this time it got a little harder for the race cars because of the track selection. audi r8: the better acelleration and top speed of the road car could not get beaten by the handling of the gt car. But it was close at the end with only 4/10s gap. Honda civic type r: almost even on power, top speed and weight, the race car made the difference in the corners and 7seconds is not so close, but the road car did a good job. bmw m2: the road car had way more power and the same weight as the race car , some kph more top speed as well. the race car was faster in the last sector, but that was not enough. 6/10s is a good result subaru impreza: its basically two rally cars putting against each other in a super special stage. the slower speeds of this two cars were not good for the road car, because even if its had a 30 km/h higher top speed on paper, it could not use it i think because of the rally characteristic of these two subarus. 2:2 in duels at the end, good result for the road cars.

@@the_rush_to_nothing Its similar to the Nordschleife in that the track is too big and dense with forest to have medics available quickly everywhere, and its high-speed in nature, so it is not suited to very fast series like formula one or wec, but we still use the Nordschleife for touring car racing, so why was Hockenheim abandoned?

The track is what gave the road cars their advantage a track like brands hatch gp or twin ring motegi in japan would really show how fast the racing variants are because of the aero and slick tyres using the old hockenhiem Layout gave the road cars and advantage because they’re less draggy compared to their racing variants

You could use best lap times of both cars to better compare them. I mean, a fast car on the straight but slow in the corners will always be difficult to overtake, let alone in 1 single lap. I recon it would made much more sense if you also put the best lap times of both

ラップタイムについて、競技用車両が一般車に対して優れているのは自明です。投稿者が示したいのは、恐らく両者がレースをした場合、両者の特性の差なども加味した上でどちらが優れているのか、ということではないかと推測します。 It is self-evident that the competition vehicle is superior to the regular vehicle with regard to lap times. I assume that what the contributor is trying to show is probably that if the two were to race, which would be superior, taking into account the differences in characteristics between the two.
