​@@MsFknox what are you talking about ? GT500 cars are absolutely faster (especially if they dont have the winners ballast weight) than WEC Hypercars. The fastest lap on Fuji in 2024from WEC Hypercars was a 1:30 while it was a 1:20 from a GT500 car.

F2, GT500, Hypercar, and LMP2 cars are so fast that it is impossible to overtake them unless they are within 'within a minute' of the lap time on the Nurburgring North course in F1. IndyCar and Super Formula will also get away with it, although they are not participating in the race this time.

F1 cars perform badly on the nordschleife because of their battery deployment restrictions and no DRS zones, you are essentially 160hp down for most of the lap and missing 30km/h on the straights, give it unlimited ERS and DRS and it will be a lot closer, also start from the finish line, not at the back of the grid

It all depends on the length of the track, if it's suitable for an f1 car, if it has the width to make overtakes at high speed and how much the f1 car gets held up making all the overtakes

Several years ago, at the 24h race, it starts snowing. Race was soon stopped, but in the last round, Walter Röhrl was one min faster than anyone else! Then you see what a driver can do on this track. And please look for Sabine Schmitz (RIP) in her Porsche GT2, how she overtook car after car in one lap.
