As an Indian citizen, I agree with you. Had the courts given the reasoning that now mosque isn't there and they are looking at the majoritarian sentiments thereby favoring a party that entered the case in 1989 I would have considered that logic for a brief moment. But rejecting all the claims made by the winning party while putting a greater proof of burden on the loosing party was a cold blooded planned murder of justice.

A very encouraging point was made by Prof. Mustafa that many secular, progressive and liberal Hindus are dissatisfied with the verdict than Muslims, who were in some sense,the direct parties to the case. I have seen the railway boggy. Secondly, SC has given a great decision ,solving over a century old problem, with proper evidence. Thirdly ,if Hindus start raising questions on belief of Muslims on existence of Prophet with 8 years old wife Aeysha , Mecca , Medina then Muslims will not like it. Fourthly, SC must get FOUNDATIONS of all Mosques dug out to confirm that they have not been built on old structures. If they are, then these Mosques should be designated as" HARAM" and demolished. This was done to break the moral of the locals to convert them to Islam which has to be rectified as Islam came from beyond the Hindukush. Finally, Hindus are the most tolerant people who have accepted Muslims to make a nation on the LAND OF HINDUSTAN, namely Pakistan plus Bangladesh, else it would have been an Israel-Palestine problem. There is no evidence of a temple under Babri Masjid. It was a Buddhist site between 4th to 9th century which was later abandoned. A Muslim settlement came up in around 11th-12th century and built a small mosque on that abandoned site, and a bigger mosque was built by Babur in 1528. Talking about evidence, no Sanskrit text composed before the 16th century “lauded Ayodhya explicitly as the birthplace of Lord Rama, not even Valmiki’s Ramayana attributed its sanctity as a pilgrimage centre”.a Even Tulsidas' Ramcharitmanas, completed during Akbar’s reign in 1570, does not mention anything about a “Ram Janmasthan”. Tulsidas also never wrote about any desecration of a temple at Ayodhya. Neither Hiuen Tsang, the Chinese traveller who visited Ayodhya in the earlier half of the 7th century, nor Alberuni’s Kitab-e-Hind, compiled in the 11th century, make any reference to the town being celebrated as the birthplace of Lord Ram. Mir Baqi also didn't write anything about destroying a temple before building the mosque. Historians independently reported to the govt in 1991 that their study showed neither the existence of a temple on the site of the Babri Masjid nor of the destruction of any other structure there prior to the construction of the mosque. In 1993, archaeologist D. Mandal rubbished the claims of a section of archaeologists of the discovery of pillar bases which they said were the support of the stone pillars of a temple destroyed earlier. Judge Mustafa is exact and precise on his views. One group was asked to establish hard and solid proof and on the other hand other group is entertained by their beliefs. That's quite unfair. This shouldn't have been the way our Supreme Court dispensed justice. That's why we call this judgement as a prejudiciously cooked up and discriminating one to please the ruling party. Now I believe that the reward was Rajya Sabha Seat to C J. Shame on us and our legal system. That is where people doubt that. Shri Gogoi was chosen by government and collegium to suit their interests. That is why chief Justice of India hurried to close this case. Most important pillar of democracy was crumbled by being partial, which is a criminal activity.

SCs verdict is based on the fact that there was no namaz in that masjid for some time period and that means it's not an active mosque. If the mosque was not demolished,there would have been no temple today. But demolition was illegal and case is still pending.

Excellent discussion on the verdict of SC in the matter of Babri mosque. First the statues put in the mosque is called as illegal and than the demolition of mosque is also called as illegal by SC. There were no evidences found to prove that mosque was built by demolition of temple. However the mosque was demolished and after that the disputed land was given to build Ram temple. For the mosque , the land was allotted in Ayodhya itself. Ram temple is now already build and completed in January, 2024. However there was not put even a foundation stone for the mosque. Is the verdict of SC proper ? Is the verdict of SC seems legal ? What were the solid ground for SC to give verdict in favor of Ram temple ? Was Ram took birth on that particular place ? Mosque was built there in fact and it was standing there before it demolished and it was not temple that all know it including people of India, world, Govt, and judiciary also. These questions have no answers. However Muslims of India declared that they will accept the verdict of SC and they accepted it because they have trust on Indian judiciary and SC. Now it is for the citizens of our country who are believing in democracy and secular concept of nation. If majority citizens wishing to make India a Hindu Rastra , they can make it certainly.

@@DN-js4uc makes a tonne of difference. SC judges would get highly influenced if it were the death of a SC judge under mysterious circumstances but I can't say the same at all for a CBI judge. The power and independece given to both these positions is vastly different. Not to mention you can't really fuck around with a SC judge. Now if you feel the death was under mysterious circumstances, rather than trash talking here why don't you go and file a PIL and ask for a proper medical examination and investigation to be done into the issue? I never said anything about the judge not dying under mysterious circumstances at all, rather I only pointed out that he wasn't an SC Judge. Liberal arts student hain kya?
