I grew up as a Jehovahs Wittness. I never could fit into Christianity but without faith I felt lost. Your channel has opened my eyes to not only the faith of my ancestors, but also my own. Thank you for listening to Odin. He was right when he said what you should do. It's amazing. Thank you brother.

Just a follow up. I did my first offering today. I went to a spot in my backyard and offered 2 items from my heart to Freya. Your videos have helped me overcome that fear and now I feel confident in my path. I wanted to provide this small follow up for you my friend. :) Thank you! - Even put my feet in the dirt.

I have been meandering, kind of lost....raised as a Christian, but never really a part of it. I know I have never felt that I belonged anywhere. But what is so strange, is that I wasn't searching and simply by chance came across this video. Even stranger, at the beginning, I felt a sense of peace, and tears started to fall. So strange. I watched the entire video, and I felt..... almost at home. Again, like I said, very strange. But I intend to watch more of your videos. Just maybe, this is what I am searching for, without realizing it. So sorry for the long story.

Crying is often a release, or relief. As a kid did you ever (or can you relate to this anyway) get hurt, a splinter, a skinned knee, a mean kid being a butthead, some painful or scary event, & not cry, just run home, (or maybe as an adult something happened), & you're being brave... and then you get to a safe place, or a safe person, & that instinct that held in the emotions & made you focus on getting help or healing or inside or whatever was needed, can relax and THEN the tears came or maybe a little anger or outrage - the release of what you held in until you felt at home & protected or not alone or not at risk....? Religion can make people suppress feelings or thoughts or bury their natural responses & suppressing is stressful. You don't have to here. You don't have to fit in a box & conform. Your true self is appreciated & in that atmosphere people can thrive. We can do so much better if we can be real, & we feel so much better that way, that it's a natural reflex to cry out what's been held in & it's very healthy to! I could be feeling whimsical but it sounds like a welcome, like you were recognized & given the gift of release, welcomed home to the Old Ways. I won't dictate to you what it means to you but it did occur to me bc I found that's similar to how I felt. I didn't cry, I froze in wonder but there was a feeling deep inside where I could feel something like crying, that release of tension floating away. It might take more to clean your spirit of any enforced repression if that was the sitch. "Better out than in!" We were given feelings for a reason. They're signs, little messages that tell us what works for us & what doesn't or didn't. It's a strength to have feelings. We don't embrace or inflict fear, here. Crying often means comfort, actually - that now in a safe place to feel & be yourself. & Paganism is a wide field of ways, it might be that in general, the right to respect your own nature & to gather with others who will & who'll see the beauty in that as equals.

@@SomeName_AlsoHandlesSucc I think he means that he doesn't acknowledge that Norse paganism is a religion founded on the ancestors of the Germanic peoples (primarily Scandinavia and other contemporary germanic nations). Though I'll say that Norse Paganism is in no way limited to those ethnicities! The gods may be worshipped by everyone. It is just important especially to those with ancestral links as it is what our fathers before us worshipped and honoured.

We have a church in Denmark called (forn sidr) and a burial site/ cemetery where we are buried with a stone ship on top. Cause you legally can't be sendt out in a ship when dead so therefore. Many others here choose to get their ashes over the water with flowers or being burried with a tree to grow on top of you grave to give back to nature and also the life tree so yeah. 😊

I was Mormon as a child, but fell out of it before I was the age of 10. It just felt wrong. Then I was an atheist for the longest time, and then I finally followed up a repetitive dream I had, and it connected to Odin. Since then, the dream has stopped. Pretty sure Odin led me to the knowledge, even if I didn't pursue it immediately like I should have. Now that I'm learning more, I'm pretty sure Odin called to me. Still not sure why! But I'm very happy to honor his call.

Have u actually tried to follow the “Christian God” or did u just go to church on sundays? Did u actually read the Bible or did u just listen to word being preached by a pastor? The Christian God will not be found in a Church building there’s so many denominations that it causes confusion well the true God is found in the Bible that’s it, these pagan gods are actually fallen angels aka DEMONS when Jesus came from heaven he exposed these “gods” for what they really were

KZbin is owned by Google so you can go into Google & change your ad topics to get rid of that. Search how to find that spot. You can leave spirituality & paganism on the ok list but remove religion, bible quotes, & daily scripture type things. By religion they do mean churches or Abrahamic or other - not pagan, but organized religion, religious conversion oriented things (& that might include Ba'hai or something else less pushy, but it's mainly fundamentalist thumpers). The spirituality ones will be connection to nature, outdoorsy, not selling anything or any ideas & it won't affect you looking up any form of spirituality that way - bc turning off religion may actually limit the churches' answers to mundane questions that can come up in search results for simple nonreligious information !!! too, lol. They sometimes pay for their blogs & websites to be "pushed," & it's actually called that, to be given prominence. I worked a night shift, it's best you search how to alter your ad settings bc I might explain it wrong but it's online how to. I did it & it worked. It's coming up on here bc though it's specific where you can do the above, when none are removed they're treated as one big category: "religion & spirituality." & They go by what's most mainstream... Certain political matters have made certain religious "values" & conversation more prominent than it used to be, people are using keywords & that made religious ads more common, but yes they pay for the time slot why you said. & Someone religious could manipulate it to show on pagan topics or atheist places, unless we opt out of that ad category. I no longer see them. I see ads for Celtic or Norse jewelry, Scandinavian travel, Irish language materials, Slavic Rodnovary art once, & any of that rarely. I mostly get ads for food, clothing, travel, art supplies, music, and books.

People call it insane because people have talked to many gods of many different faiths, all of which conflicting, thus saying they talk back conflicts with what the majority of other people on the planet know. Most people on earth are religious, and most of those people are not whatever religion your following, and that applies to everyone. Sure, the abrahamic religions, mainly Christian religions dominate, but they are a fraction of all religious people, and even their similar religions conflict. When people hailing from multiple religions that conflict claim to have relationships with spirits and gods that conflict with eachothers beliefs, that is where the controversy ensues. Clearly all of these spiritual or divine connections cant all be true, as the majority of them conflict greatly with one another. To put it briefly, they simply do not believe in your religion, and thus dont think the gods your talking to exist, thus they think your relationship is delusional. But alas, the beauty in belief is that nobody knows, thus its up to the individual to determine what they believe to be true. And if anything, what to have faith in.

I am not a beginner in this faith or what I like to call, simply a way of life. With that said I still enjoyed this video, it can bring us all back to what this faith, way of life is truly about. You can make this faith as simple or as complicated as you want. Great video

I'm omw to one of my first college classes (at 34!) and I was getting really nervous. This helped somehow. Then I got to the part about just meditating on the north etc... i feel so much better. I've always been pulled to this faith 😀

I did a completely improvised offering to the all father today. I know nothing about the faith yet but i asked him to help me learn my own path and learn the faith. Its genuinly the first time ive felt anything actually spiritual and i cant wait to learn more

The way you present information in your videos is so refreshing. I love the "perfessional" lecture feeling. In general, no specific to your videos, I wonder if there is a nonbinary term for followers. One of the reasons I'm, personally, drawn to the norse pantheon is how accepting it feels. Especially having a shape-shifter gender Bender among the halls. Even within Norwegian they have some "neutral" terms, which I feel like rings true to ancestors acceptance. More or less thinking out loud. Thank you for all the time and effort you put into your content. Skål!

The first real experience I had was a couple of years ago when I was asking myself about this and also to Odin, I kid you not I saw what seemed to be a singular red light appear right in front of me. At first I was scared but then realised that I wasn't meant to be scared at all, it was like a personal message and a calling for me to make a change in my life and become stronger and braver. Fast forward to now and I'm doing gym work and becoming stronger and less afraid ❤

Upon listening to Nordic music and chants I felt very close to my spiritual side. Glad I found this video. I come from monotheistic religion myself, and so this is a very interesting religion to learn about and see if its something for me.

@@lullz567 the way I see it, I am Christian. I believe in only one higher power, that being, well, god. And while little could ever change my beliefs (minus actually DYING and seeing myself as being wrong), I am open to learning about other religions. I’m not to say it’s impossible, but I’m also not to say it’s for sure.

Hello I don't know if you will see this but this video is helping me a lot. I have been searching for something to feel comfortable with Christianity never made me feel that way. But the Norse gods did, growing up I learned about the Greeks and Egyptians but as I learned about more mythologies like Norse for some reason I really enjoyed it. Yes I still have questions and I am honestly a little cautious about it. But I still feel drawn to this I wear Odin's symbol on a necklace and a ring and I have three runes on my body tattooed. Thank you for making this video and sharing your wisdom I'm going to keep looking into it and learn more. I honestly wish we could talk one and one so I could know more but again your video does help me thank you.

Hey! First of all thank you for making these videos! I just want to share my story of losing and finding faith. When I was a child I was raised as a christian. I was so devoted I wanted to become a priest (I live in Hungary so it felt natural to be christian). When I became a teenager I began to question existence, and so my spiritual guides literally expelled me from learning more, saying "we don't need agnostics and nay-sayers here". So for the last 20 or so years I was faithless. At first I felt free, like some great wheight fell off my shoulders. But now at 31 I realized I was drifting and had nothing to rely on, nothing to hold on to. The last few years especially felt like I was trapped in a loop of tragedies and hardships. The first of these was my bride leaving me but returning to me every year since. It was a really curious case of a love-hate relationship. We both love each-other to this day but somehow we can't be together for longer periods of time. And then I read the Prose Edda out of curiosity last year. I started to dive into norse mythology and found out about Hati and Sköll. For the first time in many years I finally found something I can relate to. And I think this is what make norse paganism great. There are many stories that are just common. and you can draw paralells between life and mythological stories. There is always a moral lesson that can be interpreted into life much more easily than any other religion. So again: thank you! Sharing this religion with people is something that makes me more committed than ever.

There were a few things I loved instantly when I began to explore Germanic Paganism. One was the internal fire that erupted as I learned about the history and heritage of my ancestors. I felt like I was discovering my family again. The other thing was how human the Aesir and Vanier became. You mentioned Odhinn rarely Makin an appearance and, well, how fitting for the Wandering One to be aloof, to be silent, then come and deliver something that floors you. I find Freyja and Thorr readily accessible, Freyr as well, but that is there very nature when you study about them. I caught onto the non vikingness of the faith early on, and I'm glad I did. It's a natural faith for anyone and quite simply put, if you're not interested, you'll know. Good talk my friend!
