This is one of U2´s greatest. So many folks never grasp what this song is really about. Just blows my mind when I hear them say it is about a man and a woman and some love affair thingy. :P This song is truly about the last days of Jesus sang from Judases point of view. Masterpiece!!!

This performance is full of visual metaphores. I was checking The rating of classic Bands as U2, Queen, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Led Zepellin. They don't have much views here in KZbin. However if you check Britney's videos or Justin Timberlake you'll find 50 million views. That's how the world is today. What can we do. U2 is among the greatest. Do not watch the vertigo video instead look for all these great performances and classical hidden gems. U2 has many great songs that not many people.

The Slane version has more energy for the length of the song (of course!). But this one is filmed much better and really lifts the Jesus/Satan battle depiction to a whole other level.

Yeah, I'll fully second that comment about U23D - saw it last night on Imax and it totally knocked me for six. Bono does come across as a tad preachy, but at least he's saying good things, and the footage is incredible. The crowd plays a big part - 80,000 odd Argentinians going all out - talk about great back up singing. That is one wicked film.

Sorry Jarrell, but there is a verse in the old testament that actually says that. As this was some time ago i learned of it, I have forgotten which actual verse it was. Different verses mean different things to people, which i suppose is why there are so many denominations in the Christian faith. Evil certainly came from God when he killed all the firstborn of the Egyptians, according to Exodus Ch 11, verses 4 and 5.
