I live in my SUV, so I'm a travel witch. For tonights full moon I'll be by the ocean. My altar changes depending on where I am and then I return what I've gathered back to where I collected it.

i think it's important that one doesn't try to force a place to be like someplace else. for example, one shouldn't try to make the city "act" like the country. if one is in the city, one should work with the city as it is. just my opinion (i say this as someone who is a cottage witch who lives in the suburbs! heh heh). there is so much magic everywhere!

I live in a small rural town. Its about a mile square. Population around 1100. Our home sits on a large corner lot. We have a huge backyard. I feel lucky I can light my fire ring whenever I want. But summers are just TOO HOT! We have enough room for any kind of gardening. I prefer to do my working intentions either within my home or in my backyard. We have lived in our home for 40 years now. So there is a lot of strength and love within its walls. My maternal grandmother came from Germany when she was 16 years old. She lived to be 99 and 1/2 years old. I love listening to you. Your accent is much like hers was. 😊❤❤

Ahhh the city ! St.Lin, Quebec Canada. The city I can handle for a certain amount of time, then the chaos begins to break through, so its limited time spent there. Before going to the city, my home gets a good cleaning and cooling to be a calm, stress and chaos free space when I arrive back home, scented with clove, star anis, cinnamon and citrus. Most days when I am at home, clove incense burns at my back door.

I live in the city of Bonn, Germany. We have a little balcony and we grow many plants and flowers there. Also I think, Bonn is not a typical city. It doesn't seem so busy, crowded and "grey" like many other cities. It indeed is very green and the old buildings you can find everywhere adds to the wonderful charisma. As a witch, I really feel home here. Nature is not very far away, just a walk or a shorter bus trip and you have the Rhine or the forest, where I can relax, ground myself and meditate.

Lovely video. I am a Green witch in Brooklyn, I grew up in NYC so it's all I know, and have been practicing for 33yrs. My goal since I was young was having an apt in close proximity to one of our two large parks that have a lake and wildlife, and near the beaches and when I made that happen it was perfect. I also have a little garden on the roof of my building and have a lot of plants inside my apt. I have used the pot of earth technique many times when I need to bury something, and foraging in my park, mugwort is super invasive in North Eastern US so there is plenty. I also recommend a window box if your building allows it. Shielding practice is a must in NYC as an empath it can be overwhelming especially on the subway, and now because of COVID you can feel everyone's anxiety so it's super important to practice this. Thanks for sharing your tips.

I live in a suburbia area of Maryland in the USA. We have a historic downtown area nearby, but it's not "urban." Parts of our county are very rural with farmland and state parks. I would like to move a little further out in the county to have some land for privacy and gardening.

I live in Los Angeles in the U.S. and we barely have seasons out here so it's easy to feel disconnected from nature. But we can go play in the ocean anytime so it kinda balances. Botanical gardens are wonderful you can really get a different sense of the energy from different garden sections. The classes can be wonderful too. It's also fun to pull a Batman or a Spiderman and go to the top floor of a tall building and look out over the city. that way you can connect with the energy of the city without being overwhelmed by it. Sometimes it's even easier to ground from high up because you can visually see the earth and nature surrounding the area and supporting it.

Bex, you have such a bubbly personality and it's a joy to watch your videos. I live in the U.S., in Denver. Unfortunately, I live in the city center and while we have a lot parks here, there's just always too many people for me (I have social anxiety). Luckily, my apartment has a balcony so I can make myself a place outdoors at least. We're not allowed to hang things - including plants - but I can have a chair, small table, and some non-hanging plants. The street noise is a bit much, but at least it affords a mild form of privacy. I much prefer the open country, which I'm planning on returning to in another 2-3 years. For other city dwellers - or actually for anybody - I have found there are other ways to invoke a spell or work magic and not a soul will suspect anything. I do a lot of different types of needlework - crochet/knitting, tatting, cross stitch, hand sewing, and so on. These things are basically just another form of knotwork, so while you're sitting there working on something, you just focus/will your magical intent into every stitch/knot you make. You can do this at home, or you can keep it small and take it with you wherever you go. It will work for macrame, basic craft making, drawing, painting, those wildflowers -or other natural objects - you find while walking, etc. Everyone else will think you're just "crafting" 😆 for fun, Lol. Oh, and if you're sitting on a wooden bench, near a tree, rocks, or whatever, just knock on that wood and ask those spirits to assist in your magic. Just remember to release and thank them when you're done. Go ahead and let your imagination get creative. Anyway, I wanted to share this because I do this quite often and the needlework helps pass the time on public transit. 🙂 Many blessings to everyone.

You got it exactly: in a tiny apartment in the middle of downtown! But I also live across from a big park, and my city is really an urban forest so I live beneath giant trees that line the streets and sidewalks. It's a pretty unique location and I really like it. The seasons are a challenge, though, because they are offset. Although fall is beyond beautiful here, it doesn't start until November, so while everyone else seems to be bundling up and enjoying the chill in the air in September and October, I'm still in shorts and sandals.

Cindy I also live in Utah, at 103 you must be in the St George area. I live in the Salt Lake Valley and I believe it only got up to 93 😂. I live in one of the suburb cities(750,00 people) but my home is on a 5th of an acre, not huge but big enough that I have several gardens where I work daily (usually after 4pm as it cools down). I try to garden mindfully as I pull weeds, trim plants, deadhead roses or work on a new area I'm creating. So when city noise or crush of people bothers me, I'll take a drink and sit on my patio listening to my fountains and shut out external noise.

Love it, Bex! My Ontario city has just over 400k people, which is enough to feel hectic at times. I’m very fortunate that I’ve been able to afford to buy a house with a good-sized yard, and I live right near a natural area so I get a fair amount of green space. Here and there I think about the city pollution and plants. But if I’m being honest with myself, everything I’m putting in my body is polluted. The farmers that grow our food have huge farms right off of major roads and highways, and there’s no way to avoid eating it unless I were to move into the deep country and grow everything myself. Which isn’t happening. 😂

I live in the suburbs with very little nature around. I also have a non-witchy roommate. I have a small Caboodle that I keep as my sacred space.

These were amazing tips! I live in a suburb, in a house with a large yard with some trees and an old stone wall, but also very close neighbors. One of the nice things about living near a city is the access to lots of inspirational places and people... cute witchy shops, museums, galleries, pottery studios, art studios, and yoga studios

Hey there, love your channel, as your calming nature helps to center me as I explore the world of witchcraft. I was attracted to this video, in particular as I live in an apartment, in Montreal, Canada. Since you asked us to share, I find my true self in the tiny pockets of semi-wild parks, trails, hedgerows, trackside ditches, and nature preserves. Luckily, Montreal has managed to hold on to reasonably sized chunks of wild spaces like: the Mount Royal trail, Bois-de-Liesse nature park, and large urban areas such as Angrignon and Verdun parks where I can feel a little bit more in touch with nature. However, still remaining aware that there is always the chance that someone will come around the trail bend as I'm frolicking about in my birthday suit (nude), or that the police will come to make me extinguish my campfire. As such, there are potential sources of natural materials and plants, but also the constant fear that you're being watched. Also, the elevated levels of pollution means that foraging is always riskier in the city than the countryside. Anyhow, you've been an amazing guide for me thus far and plan on watching MANY more of your videos. Thank you

Hello 👋🏼 my fabulous friend!! 😘 Looks like you’re having a lovely time together (minus the sauna-esque weather). Thank you for taking the time & sharing with us. Your comment on foraging in the city made me chuckle thinking of my dear, robust Slovak Grandmother taking “slips” of plants 🤦♀️ from neighborhood greenery as we walked to the bus stop. 😂🤣

Hi. Thanks for the ideas. I currently live in a small town in England, but I come from the capital of Poland. There's a lot more wild plants around here and the area is hilly and less polluted, so I like going on walks in nature here, but I admit, l am still a city girl :D I miss having a big balcony where I could grow plants and see the moon, the sun, and the city panorama. I think each place has a different energy, but there's always something nice to appreciate about it.

I so feel you! I too will be a city girl at heart, even though I very much enjoy living in the rural countryside now 😄 Warsaw is so beautiful too! I really loved living in Poland and much like in Germany, even if you live in a city, it is so easy to access nature close by 🌿

I'm a city witch and I'm from Finland. Most cities here have some sort of forests, even the bigger cities have forests! I actually live in an apartment building that has a forest starting right from the building's backyard! And the wild foraging in a city for kitchen witchery wouldn't be a problem here either since the air quality is quite good during the foraging season! 😊

Great advice for what is probably the largest witchy-inclined group in the world - rural witches are definitely the minority these days I think. I'm a suburban witch, very lucky to live near a river and have a backyard in southern Australia so at least I get the seasons and can grow veggies and herbs easily (except I often kill them, but I'm getting better). I used to live in the country as a kid and I still miss the stars, would love to move back one day for that reason alone.

I live in the city but I love to travel. I think botanical gardens are an excellent way for a city witch to feel connected to nature if they can’t go further out.

Good video. When i lived in Mahattan,i was part of the Magick community there, which btw is HUGE. If you never visited Witchfest...its worth it. Anyway i found that my spells manifested faster in a city enviroment.Especially in New York. Im thinking with the amount of people & frantic energy, the universe has a million channels to use,to answer your request. Money magic was off the hook there...real fast manifesting times.

I'm from Germany too and just moved from the north sea to Berlin so your video was very helpful and calming for me as I've been kinda lacking the nature here which almost made me loose my spirit and just accept that I'll just have to stick to a little kitchen magic. This video was truly inspiring thank you so much :) Might I ask which city you have been filming in? I would have never guessed that this was filmed here in Germany it looks absolutely stunning!

Oh I love the sea side - we always went on holiday to the North sea when I was a child ❤️ such beautiful nature! I can imagine it being a big change to live in Berlin now! Someone else commented some places in Berlin that are rich in nature - maybe you can check them out ☺️ this was filmed in Cordoba (southern Spain) - we are living with my partner's mom for the next 2-3 months because she broke her leg and needs some help getting chores done, etc.
