Hello TWS! Merry Xmas! We are Singaporeans who achieved FIRE and doing slow travel in UK/EU, we also choose semi-rural areas over cities! Not only lower cost, they are actually generally safer, more scenic, people are more chill, and much less dense! More sheep than humans! Yet, u are still close enough to amenities, like 10mins drive to a supermarket is still okay for most. ❤ and cars are affordable! Some qns i have…why choose to buy instead of rent? Would there be tax liabilities of owning a house in Japan? Risk of natural disasters? 😮
