I hope you gave the song some more shots, it is a precious pearl...

Seems people's reactions are mixed. But I find the repetitive nature hypnotic and it drives me on the crest of a wave and doesn't let go in a never ending crescendo. I'm hooked sorry.

It's fantastic when a great suggestive melody is repeated and drawn out. Burzum understood this and now we can enjoy it with Wintersun.

This song gives me the same feeling as The Land of Snow and Sorrow. Goosebumps every time🥹. A beautifull ending to this album❤

For me, the album is already a timeless Masterpiece for eternity (from the first note till the last)...

In the context of listening to the 'FULL' album as it was intended (Time I 2.0 and Time II) I feel like it was the perfect end to an epic journey and the very long melodic outro as you said gives time to reflect on the album as a whole. But, listening to it as a standalone song in a vacuum I found it a bit repetitive as well. I wouldn't listen to it on its own again, but as the end to a LONG listening session through Time as a whole I think it wraps it up perfectly, long outro included.

This was awesome! I loved the Asian influences in this, and the vocals were a throwback to the 90's for sure, and I really enjoyed it. The music was recorded well and very clean. Just an overall jam of a track.

Jari (vocals/guitar) is a perfectionist and this album took ages to complete.

I think the album is great. Time II and Yesterwynde have been on constant listening. Silver Leaves has this cool thing how he mixes Asian music influence to typical Finnish melancholy - slower tempo, all about the vibe and instruments. For some it's too repetitive but for me it's a good repetitive in a way, it's like i could listening to the same thing for an hour straight. After first listening Storm was definitely my favourite but after many listenings i really love Silver Leaves. Finnish section is always goosebump moment and overall the highlight of the album for me. I always like when Finnish metal bands throw a little extra spice for their Finnish fans. When the original lineup goes for tour some beautiful day and they play Silver Leaves in Finland, that Finnish section will be epic for sure when the crowd starts singing. You should definitely listen to the whole album. Please make a video if new things pop to your mind!

The Finnish section is a masterpiece even though I don't understand it. So epic and it's the best part of the album.

Dude it's interesting how we hear the same things differently, because I think this is my favourite Wintersun song. I will say I bought the album out of spite, because, while I was happy that it was finally coming out, I was still mad that I waited so long for this whole thing to be released for us. For me personally, it was 16 years between hearing Wintersun for the first time and hearing all of these songs, finally. So I bought it and put it on, and by the "white noise" in the end, I was no longer mad about it. I was overwhelmed by so many emotions. All the epicness, all the different layers. But this song, while I acknowledge that it's a bit repetitive, I think here, specifically, the repeated melodies work really well with the lyrics and the overall feel of it. And the lyrics. The weird thing is, that part where Jari sings in Finnish always gives me goosebumps. He recently shared a translation on his socials, and I thought, yes, that's along the lines of what I was thinking at the moment. Just a beautiful, sorrowful, epic masterpiece.

I'm for sure going to take some time to listen to it in its entirety when im driving. I did like this, but maybe I've come to realize that when it comes to wintersun. I think every album i've heard, I've only liked about half their songs.

@@TheWolffAndTheMelody That's fair. I also think it depends on the mood or moment they catch you in.

Goosebumps. I usually listen to Wintersun in the background when I'm driving or playing a game, and I can see where you're coming from about it being repetitive. Give it another couple of listens, it might grow on ya. 🤘🤘

Jari has been talking about this song for years and it ended up being one of my least favorite Wintersun songs. It's a good song! I love the "Can't you see that I'm trying" section, and the Finnish outro is a great touch. But the lyrics really aren't Jari's best and it feels way too stretched. There's too little interesting going on for me to actually listen to the whole thing unless I have a lot of time on my hands and listen to the entire album anyway. But honestly, I have this problem with most of the songs on Time II and I keep returning to the older albums. One With The Shadows (which was actually written at the same time as the debut album) and Storm surprised me a lot, though

It's my least favourite track on the album, but it did grew up on me a little. I was overhyped with that song and I was disappointed a bit but yes ,it was repetitive but it's still a listen from time to time. Was curious to see if you had the same opinion :) Cheers!

I should like this. Lovely melody and mainly clean vocals. But, I got bored about half way through and cut it off. Weird.

Mixing in this one is ok to me compared to some other tracks on this album. I also like the melodies and chord progressions. The song feels stretched and repetitive to me and the English lyrics are not good imo. The switch to Finnish makes it better at the end. Not the best work from him imo.
