this is undoubtedly one of the most iconic songs of the band
@wazzalord34 жыл бұрын
imo this song is the iconic splitting song between early and new epica, but thats because i personally seperate the two between pre and post Design Your Universe... and this being one of the first songs on the album (the 'third' or second depending on how ya see it) being the bridge early epica felt a lot closer to nightwish, but personally with Design (and after) i feel like the music has become way faster, harder, heavier and tighter...? especially if you compare the title songs "the phantom agony" and "the divine conspiracy" with "the holographic principle" and "quantum enigma"... the latter two are much more heavy to my hearing... that said, speaking of this song, it is very melodious yet features a lot of the massive blasting the rest of the album is, so yeah, its fucking iconic of a song and i have no real reason to write this comment lol, have a good day my friend
@MrIranpaez4 жыл бұрын
@@wazzalord3 i totally agree with this... I personally already reflect on the changes before and after this album, in fact, before the design album, the songs in general are more melodic, and after the songs are much heavier. but it's also not exactly a matter of choosing a side, I mean ... initially the songs really resembled nightwish or the old band of Mark After Forever, but there were still traces of his new band in the songs ... however of course this becomes evident after Design your universe, and I'm not talking about lyrics, but melody. Something stronger, faster and more worked, I love the first albums, but it is noticeable that the songs after the design were much more worked, much more profissional.. idk.. ps. I didn't have to write so much either ... but that's it haha ps². for me is 3th music, intro is a music for me .

FYI, Simone was pregnant while singing this entire concert. And to me, this fact is simply beyond phenomenal. Truly, my favorite signer of them all. I've been watching a lot of your reactions recently, and it would please me if you consider giving Ex Libris a try. The Motherland is one heck of a music experiment.

Finally I am going to react on your reaction video. I have been watching this reaction video over and over again, because I LOVE LOVE LOVE how you guys let it come in like the power wave it is but I didn't know how to react. For me as an autistic diabetic cardiac patient with severe trauma this is MY song!!!!!! This is how I feel...how I want my sun to set and my soul to be released and to have no more regrets. I know I will exist again in another form, but I won't have anything here to stop me from growing towards that form. Thank you ever so much for your genuine and honest reaction to this amazing song!

So, I literally went to the Epica show, with the opening of the Dragon Force. It was the best day of my life. They sound just like this live, and simone is just a pretty soul, humble and amazing. And we held hands for a second haha

Epica's music got heavier in their latest albums. Now it is more a heavy metal band supported by an orchestra. I love them. Listen to the holographic principle!

Everytime I see the orchestra in these videos I find myself wondering what it must be like for them to do THIS, then return to their usual gigs. Normal classical orchestra volume levels, stable lighting, a quietly attentive audience, no pyro...it MUST seem different to them after a foray into the world of metal.
