My mum got me this CD when it first came out, it's a song that Delta will come out and sing every now and then and it's so facinating because it only gets better with age. Delta has a talent for puting her feelings into her music and I feel like in the later versions of "I was born to try" you can really feel the weight of her lived experiences. She released this song so young and it's crazy how it's come to reflect her true life over the years. The song was nice when i heard it on my CD, but now when she sings it, I really bloody believe her.

Hi Susie , Hi Travis, yes I was a little late finding Delta...But when Guy wrote a song called 'My Beautiful Friend' it was supposed to be about Delta and her struggle with cancer at 19. They did date for a short time...but just the friendship won out...lol Thanks to our Aussie super star requester Tanya for another 'gem'

Lovely song and performance vocals by Delta - such a talent. You guys reacted to this song already, when she sung it at the Opera House, playing the piano. This was the original release. I was never a fan of Delta's songs early in her career but her release of Heavy turned me around. She has a stunning voice.
