Avantasia doesn't get nearly enough attention. Tobias does a great job with this group. They just dropped "Kill the Pain Away" with Floor in a second collab. BTW, can we all give a nod to Floor hitting that ridiculous A2 in "unbearably mute"? From what I've read/heard Floor was reluctant to take this project on because of how low her part was in a couple of places. Don't know about you, but a soprano nailing an A2 should get some recognition. ;)

Tobias Sammet is the reason that "European Metal Heart" still beats hard nowadays, so many thanxes to his majesty...

Honestly I found Tobias because of Ayreon's The Day That The World Breaks Down. There are so many bands in different countries that go unnoticed only because they are not played in the States. KZbin has really opened the flood gates for those who are open minded, and seeking new experiences.

They have another song on the new Avantasia album "A paranormal Evening with the Moonflower Society" called "Kill the Pain away" which is more like a straight rocker (still a great song). As far as i know it's the first time Floor sang for Avantasia, but on Ayreon's "The Source", there are several songs where both had a part in (among a lot of other awesome singers). It's still totally worth it to give Avantasia a try. Michael Kiske (Helloween), Jorn Lande, Geoff Tate (formerly Queensryche), Ralf Scheepers (Primal Fear), Ronnie Atkins (Pretty Maids), Bob Catley (Magnum), Eric Martin (Mr. Big), there's so many great voices on that (and former) albums.

AVANTASIA HAD A SONG FOR ESC IN 2016. Mystery of a blood red rose. It had something from meatloaf song.

As a lifelong fan of Nightwish, this song and Kill the Pain Away are proof to me that Tobias knows how to use Floor’s voice so much more skillfully than Tuomas does. These two songs sound so much better than her parts in Nightwish.
