Suzi, if you like this, check out the movie The Sapphires. Jess starred in it and it's full of music like this.

Also you should watch the movie/musical "bran nu dae". She's in that too.

This is from the movie "The Sapphires". It's about 3 Aboriginal singers that go to the Vietnam War to entertain the troops. She sings a lot of 60's music in the movie. She is the lead singer in the movie. Watch it, it's based on a true story. At the end are photos of the original singers.

She's is also a great actress and I loved her in a TV series called 'The Secret Daughter' she sang so many songs in this series....loved it. Also The Sapphires was her first full length movie. She played a real life singer in a group who went to support our troops in Vietnam.

I use 'dinner' and 'tea' interchangebly for my evening meal. I haven't heard 'din din' since I was a girl many eons ago! I second the other commentators - try and catch the movie, 'The Sapphires' which Jessica starred in. An inspiring real story with great music like this.

I so loved this style from the Sapphires I wish I wish she had continued on that road! Simply a great era of music.

in Australia dinner is our midday meal, tea is our night meal and supper is a before bed after tea snack
@mssuziquzi6 ай бұрын
Since when? We have breakfast, lunch at midday and dinner in the evening. We can also have afternoon tea. Years ago, we used to have breakfast, dinner and tea on Sunday when we had our main meal at midday, which was usually a Sunday roast.😊

tea is what we call the night meal. this song is from the movie about the band who originally sang it, the sapphires were a 3 piece girl group made up of Aboriginal women, great movie if you haven't seen it, written by a member's son, while based on real life, some of it is isn't true (e.g. movie has 4 members instead of 3). I had Wikipedia change their article, as it didn't give the correct credit to the original band forming in Australia or the original members, still says what it did, but an extra bit added about them

should also mention Jessica is also an Aboriginal woman and sings songs in Aboriginal language as well as English

Your post says nearly an our ago, it's about 3:30 am just now, in aus, so unless it's an early morning snack, dinner was ages ago. Who can remember? Kudos to all those folk who work overnight and still eat at odd hours. Or do you get too darn tired. Have fun when you get safely home. All the best.
