Sting might as well have written this for Eva to perform. She knocked this out of the galaxy.

It breaks my heart that she died so early! One of the greatest voices I have heard!

To this day, the best female vocalist I’ve ever heard. Nobody sang with such raw emotion and feeling that she did. She made every song she did her own, and almost always better than the original. My personal favorite is Songbird.

She is truly one of the greatest singers of a lifetime and you do her justice and reverence with your respect! She is a singer's singer. You could keep on doing a video on every song she ever sang and not disappoint anyone! Tall Trees In Georgia, Who knows Where The Time Goes, Time After Time are just a few more... thanks for the great reaction videos!

This song was my first experience of Eva Cassidy. A pure and beautiful a vocal performance as I've ever heard. Sting's original version is wonderful, but man oh man, this is something else. Truly golden.

A vocal that transports you upon the west winds among the fields of barley. A rare voice, so pure and natural - simple perfection.

You need to watch the video of Michelle Kwan ice skating to this song. It’s so beautiful, it rips your heart out, those two artists combined is almost more than we poor mortals can handle.

One thing many don't realize is that Eva was not a full time musician for most of her time with us. She worked at a Garden Center/Nursery. Imagine what she could have done if she had been able to spend all of her days exploring her craft. May she rest with the angels, ever in song.

I love her. But every time I hear her I weep. For that wrongfully short life. For the stardom that came after she was gone. For the perfection of her voice. The brilliance of her arranging. And for not having her here in this life. I weep.

I like how Eva can slowdown an upbeat song and make it heartbreaking, and fill it with a lot of raw emotion: Fields of Gold, Over the Rainbow, Autumn Leaves.

My favorite is her acoustic performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow. To watch her play and see her face as she sings makes me cry like a baby every time.

I have no doubt that Eva’s vocal quality was worthy of working with National Orchestras. The power, enunciation, clarity, and control are up there with the best.

Excerpt from the official Eva Cassidy Fan Club facebook group: Eva’s friend Anna Karen sent Eva's recording of ‘Fields Of Gold’ to its composer, Sting. The former Police singer had rarely heard a voice of such purity. He was sorry to learn of Eva’s death and believed that this somehow took the song to a deeper emotional level. He was moved by Eva’s version of his song: “Her voice has a magical quality. It suggests something ethereal - something unattainable,” Sting concluded. I think we can say that he liked it!😘

This song is touching me in a really unique way. The vibe gives me chills in a really positive way and every breath i take feels deeper then usual and i calm down. At the same time i feel, next to those positive relaxing vibes, a deep desperation, suffering. Deep inside my head i get so melancholic, i am sometimes tearing up directly with the first chorus.

Maybe the realizations that she died so young makes us sad. . There's a poignancy to her work as if she sensed she wouldn't have long. Her music is timeless and her voice besutiful.
