I saw INXS twice in the late 1980's, they were amazing. Swear to God, Michael Hutchence was the most beautiful human being I've ever seen. He oozed sexuality, personality, and passion. I cried when he died and I don't usually care about famous people.

Ditto. I saw them twice. The last time was 3 months before he passed. We were at an outdoor venue in Cleveland. It was pouring rain. We really didn’t think the concert would play. But OMG, most of the crowd left, and INXS played for those of us brave enough to endure the downpour. Michael Hutchence walked among the tiny crowd removing articles of his clothing. He was sexy as hell. For the encore we screamed for Suicide Blonde . Sure enough, we got our wish. They rocked it that rainy cold night. We were so blessed to see them not once but twice.

This is INXS at the height of their powers, when they might very well have been the best live band on the planet. Suicide Blonde and New Sensation were both tremendous performances at this show, which is almost perfect from start to finish. Was lucky enough to meet Michael Hutchence a couple times in the early 90’s, one of the highlights of my musical life.

@@michaelt3308 I did say “might have been”, and opinions are always subjective. But you might be right if we’re talking about 1986, when Queen rocked Live Aid, and INXS really made their first big splash on the world scene with their performance that same year. But by the time of this performance in ‘91, INXS had pretty much conquered the planet.

i agree with everything you said with exception to greatest live band on the planet... That accolade goes to U2, universally acknowledged by critics, fans, awards, and record breaking gross ticket sales. after Joshua Tree 87 and subsequent tour U2 went aways for a while and INXS rightly benefited from that absence and yes they dominated during this time but then 91 release of U2 actung baby album and their reinvention for the 90s and ZOOTV tour 92 reaffirmed them and they reclaimed their title. INXS were defo right up there though! Michael Hutchence was one of the all time great vocalists and front men!

Was in Sydney celebrating our first wedding anniversary. Had spent some time in a wine bar and went to head back to our hotel. Waiting outside for a cab and a guy asked where we were headed, said he was happy to share a cab and we were happy to do that. The guy was Michael. We shared some small talk while my wife elbowed me in the ribs for 20 minutes on the ride back. I'm sorry he went so young and so pointlessly. A chance meeting I will remember until I'm gone.

I am in a very humble position to have been a friend of Michael having designed their last 8 album, cd covers, he was a true gentleman and I still miss him now, I just wish that the music business would acknowledge him

3:22 and 4:54 ONE look at Michael Hutchence (the singer) there and you can understand when women get all "hot and flustered" - calling him "Sex on two legs"

I see you enjoy ramped up fun! I see the smiles and the seat dancing INXS moves! They were the get up on the dance floor music. But wait until you hear the ballads. INXS Music Channel on KZbin recently posted all the live Wembley videos! P.s. the guys are not only fun they're HOT. 💥

I only got to see them once in the late 80s despite being a fan for nearly a decade prior. As a 10 yr old who randomly bought “Underneath the Colours” on a whim. Extraordinary the lot of them. Vale Michael. 25 years this year since we lost him but his music and legacy for Australian music will always live on.

Michael Hutchence was one of the last great live entertainers, performers like him are a rarity these days. The only other person I could liken him to when it came to being on stage would have to be Freddy Mercury.

The late gret Michael Hutchence was such a star. Chaismatic, exciting to watch and one of the few frontmen who was a baritone. He also cowrote most of the songs with Andrew F.

this song was their breakthrough single in North America in 86. Their next album took them to the next level (87"s Kick). This performance was on the tour for the follow up album... The one with Suicide Blonde on it. They have so many epic tunes.

Hey Michael, can you believe this? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I wish you were here to read all the things they thought you were - not at all like my goofy mate from way back then, hurts when I see you mate, because it reminds me that those two 16 year olds who pretty much thought they'd never grow old or die were wrong, I grew old and you died, still friends always and forever, say hi to Tez for me up in rock n roll heaven - you boys better be waiting for me at the end of this earthly gig, miss you both ❤️

Thank you, Alison. I admit, being of a similar vintage, I wasn't quite sure how Wolfhunterz would react when I requested this song. It just proves that quality is eternal. I've had the privilege to work with and help a lot of local bands and musicians in my regional area (mostly in art/website/video area), with only one band making a small dent on the Australian charts, but every one of them loved music and loved life. I'm glad your friend made his mark. And I'm glad I, a total stranger, got to go along for the ride and enjoy it so much. I'd love nothing more than see a new generation rediscover their music and their voice.
