The "hole in my head" line is a reference to the Beatles' "Fixing A Hole". Jeff Lynne, of course, absorbed the Fab Four completely, and gave it back; he helped get George Harrison's career going again. I think the late John Lennon expressed great appreciation for ELO.

I saw them in concert in 1979. The crowd about lost their minds. Great show. Everyone was singing along. Well...except my oldest stick in the mud sister. Jk. She said she enjoyed it. I swear she was the only 1 sitting. Y'all always make me laugh.

Now this is a show. The band, well dressed with coats and string players in dresses. Respecting the audiences hard earned money they paid for tickets. Sound and lights are great.

Sometimes i watch you guys and I think are they just taking the piss? They are from a crash metal band and do they really like all different types of music and respect it, but the way it is presented it seems a bit mocking? eg we love tambourines. Is that for real? I don't know. I like good music (but NOT Techno) and only like really good hip-hop. That's me honestly. PS I am a muso with classical training who finished up in a blues rock band. Just thinking, not knocking but looking for reality.
