Lyrics:
It's twelve o'clock, and it's a wonderful day.
I know you hate me, but I'll ask anyway.
Won't you come with me to a place in a little town?
The only way to get there's to go straight down.
There's no bathroom, and there is no sink.
The water out of the tap is very hard to drink,
Very hard to drink.
You wait 'til tomorrow
You wait 'til tomorrow
You say that money isn't everything,
But I'd like to see you live without it.
You think you can keep on going living like a king.
Ooh, babe, but I strongly doubt it.
Very hard to drink.
Very hard to drink.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.
You wait 'til tomorrow.
You wait 'til tomorrow.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.
You gonna wait 'til, fat boy,
Fat boy, wait 'til tomorrow.

Thank God you reacted to silverchair. They started at 13 14, and won a contest when Kurt Cobain passed. Lots of people compared them to Nirvana. And as much as I love Nirvana, John and the group changed their sound with every album.

I get the Nirvana comparison I guess, maybe from a visual standpoint, but musically they seemed more like Pearl Jam to me. Early on anyways. His voice and his melodies really felt like Pearl Jam to me.

They were teenage prodigies, and they were together longer, and more prolific than anyone would have expected from a band that started in their early teens. They evolved so amazingly too. I don't think they really get along anymore, but man, it was good while it lasted. Daniel Johns (the vocalist) has a somewhat shaky solo career now, and his music is worlds away from this, but still fantastic.

Unfortunately lead singer Daniel Johns had some serious health issues like Anorexia and Arthritis. At one point weighting approx than 110 pounds (50kg) along with mental health and addiction issues. This all had an impact on the band. Their last big hit was Straight Lines (2007) which was critically acclaimed and I personally love it. 2011 they went on an offical hiatus. They had an amazing amount of success internationally and toured & performed with some big names.

The stage was actually on top of the marquee. The performance was also part of the pre-show, not the main show. Silverchair, like Bush, had a few year run where they were quite popular in the states. But like how tastes change overtime, their popularity started easing off by the 2000s.

The Beatles did an unannounced rooftop (Apple Corp London) in 1969....It was their last concert together...The police/authorities eventually put a stop to it due to noise complaints in nearby offices?? U2 did the video and performed "Gloria" on a barge in Grand Canal Basin in London in 1981. AC/DC performed (in my hometown of Melbourne) with original lead singer Bon Scott on the back of a truck in 1976 going down Swanson Street playing "It's a Long Way to The Top if You Want To Rock & Roll"
