The "written in your heart" part of this song is one of the best things Neal Morse has ever been a part of

This song just puts me at piece. The instrumental sections are like heaven and then of course Neal's wonderful vocals.

I love the Queen-like lick in the final bars. It’s so comforting!

If you like this one, you'll want to listen to Spock's Beard (Neil Morse as Vocals and Keyboards), The Flower Kings (Roine Stolt as Vocals and Guitarist) and you guys definitely know Mike Portnoy

I've been digging your reactions to Neal Morse's epics bigly. In addition to TransAtlantic and NMB, there is also Neal's third big prog supergroup Flying Colors featuring 2 members of the Steve Morse band. Steve is not related to Neal but he goes way back to the Dixie Dregs in the 1980's and is considered one of America's most influential guitarists. Even John Petrucci cites him as a major influence! Try "Infinite Fire" or "Open Up Your Eyes". Both are perfect Flying Colors epics with Steve and Dave LaRue's signatures all over them. Of course Mike Portnoy beats the skins there, too. BTW if you'll allow me to brag a little bit, the JET guitar that Roine played while in Transatlantic during "The Whirlwind" and "Kaleidoscope" years was created by me.

Bless you Eric! This maybe Neal’s best song. So many “lighter moments.” Wait…Stranger in My Soul, Beyond the Years, The Great Nothing….Ah Shit, Epic after great epic. Symphonic Prog at its finest. Ps, soundtrack to “The Journey to The Center of The Mind.” Finding Nemo meets Jules Verne, with a dash of jazz noir and classic stadium rock.
