Just incredible. How anyone can slag this band off is beyond me. No band comes close to a U2 show. I've seen a lot of great gigs but U2... no one does it better
@MarkSeddon-fw5uu Жыл бұрын
I think people slag them off, just because they are U2 and so successful not because they do anything wrong. My favorite band by a mile

There is literally no band that can compare to U2 not only are the amazing in Studio and live they actually give a shit about their fans Bono himself has done so much for Charities it's ridiculous

U2 is the soundtrack to my life since the Early 80's, seen them live about 8 times. Seen many, many other bands and artists but NO ONE comes even close to U2, second best live is Pearl jam. But ALL the others I've seen are no where close to what U2 brings live on stage, NONE!

No one has actually mentioned that it’s nearly impossible to sing when lying flat on your back. Lots of singers practice their songs that way to gain more power and breath control! Besides this just being an incredibly emotional and intimate moment. I thought I was gonna die! Love ❤ Bono

I was a little nervous when he brought the girl on stage . That had to be one of the coolest moments ever for her ❤ so awesome. I think I would have burst into flames 🔥 😂

This was inside the TD Garden, which in 2001 was still called the Fleet Center. Home of the Boston Celtics and Bruins. We have just always called it The Garden regardless of whatever it's current naming convention was at the time.

Toronto Dominion garden,hmmm.
@mpkelley202 жыл бұрын
Yup. Even when it was being built, we still called it the garden. Even with the old garden still there! I’ve seen some great shows at both the old and new garden but the new one definitely has better acoustics. I do miss the old garden though. Used to go to many bruins games when they didn’t costs 3 month mortgage to go.

I remember working in the Airport in Dublin during The Joshua Tree tour on the departure road and spoke to Bono he was so down to earth and said he was waiting on the Edge. Two young girls from America waiting for a bus to the city came over to me and asked if that was U2. I told them it was and they were waiting on the Edge to come to their Limo. Would they give us their autograph one asked and I told them that they were usually very approachable. Bono not only signed their autograph but gave them a lift into town in their limo.

The younger generation is always amazed at how outgoing U2 were on their tours. They always came up with something new: in 2014 they brought fans onto the stage, who multiplied with them. In NY 2015 Jimmy Fallon dressed up, went on stage and sang Desire - great fun. Then his house band showed up and everyone played Angel Of Harem - one video available. Rock-Tip: song package from ZOO TV Sydney 1993 EVEN BETTER THAN THE REAL THING/first hand cameras in shows + MYSTERIOUS WAYS/tolerance+Exotic/The Edge is married to the 2nd dancer - 2 totally different songs with the rock-jazz performance👍!!!
@andubh936010 ай бұрын
CAME up with something new? Well the Sphere shows was something new even if the songs were from the Zoo TV/Achtung Baby era. And they might still make that album they’ve been talking about for so long and go on a tour. And every new tour have came up with something new.

The keyboard part you are talking about is actually the edge's guitar his using a small device called an ebow that vibrates the string and it sounds amazing

Apparently this track is about the early days of U2. During the time of the 2nd or 3rd album maybe, when Bono was struggling within himself with balancing being a young husband/father and being in a touring band. One effects the other but he can’t live without either. I don’t know how true that is but with so many interpretations of this song, I find this one makes sense.

At the show in North Carolina, during "With Or Without You" they had a rotating star map projected on the ceiling. I'm pretty sure they did the same at this show. I guess you could say it was like laying in a field watching the stars go by.

This is from the 2001 dvd u2 elevation tour boston at the fleet center arena . Bono told the crowd that he had been real sick recently at a concert in Buffalo New York and it still affected his singing. It's a great dvd .

He lost his father to cancer months prior (in 2000). Some nights it effected him more than others. From the way he howls the lyrics and his reaction after the song ended, I'd say this night was one of the difficult ones.

I saw the Elevation tour @ my hometown in Montreal. The idea of the heart stage was to include even the backstage folks, brilliant. Of course Boston which I'm a Bruins fan. In america, Boston, the biggest Irish community, U2=Irish.

I’ve seen a lot of reaction channels. Its one of my favorite genres in the entirety of social media. I find it to be so enjoyable when the content of reaction channels is successfully executed with the proper balance of knowledge/objectivity/honesty/authenticity/sincerity. If everything someone reacts to is labeled as fantastic and great and incredible, then nothing is fantastic and great and incredible. Its like the episode of Seinfeld where a guy told Elaine she was breathtaking. She was thrilled that he complimented her like that. Until he started saying everything was breathtaking. Having said that.. These two are so dishonest/inauthentic/insincere that I can’t even wrap my mind around why anyone would waste their time with them. If everything is elite, then nothing is elite. The contrived bogus excitement from these 2 is so egregious it almost becomes impressive. This channel truly is breathtaking.

I heard Bono said he wrote this for his mom who was dying. I don't know about that but just listening to it, it sounds like a young couple. She is waiting to get married and doesn't want to have sex until they do. Her boyfriend tries every trick and excuse he can think of to change her mind. He finally talks her into doing it just once but after that he wants it all the time. She breaks up with him and sleeps with every guy she dates because she's not a virgin anymore, now she wants it all the time. She leaves him and won't take him back and he realizes it.
