I am a self made millionaire and what I realized in life is it's just a piss take, so piss take it back take chances investing in property buy a shop take chances and if you really don't give a fuck what lies ahead. anything is possible fuck face and think what you want of my speech because As I said I am the self made millionaire 10times over. Ilost it all 2 years ago just for a laugh and show people how easy it is to be a millionaire and make it in life if you don't give a piss what people think of you and your self believe is second to none forget the rest once again self made millionaire you little fool so fuck off make some money and then you can get it right up every doubtful person who doubted you sort it out make life easier for yourself by not giving a fuck what people think about you, and remember you are a waste of space and if you can't make money in life then ill make money on you by recycling your face with a hammer freak show. say something cheeky about me and I will go through your door and punch your mums head in don't mess around sort it out freak show

I think there's something specifically 1990s about this song that makes it impossible to transpose effectively. As much as anything else, it's about the insulating psychological effects of a specific kind of First World privilege that (imo thankfully) died with 9/11. The whole thing is a brutal, bitter deconstruction of '90s nostalgia and what (and WHO!) it conveniently leaves out, from "though war was breaking out all around me, my concerns were with prank calls" to a teen party full of blatant, oblivious wasting of vital resources (using water as a visible stand in).

Their style is particular, it goes across some deep electronic influences but it never gets far from the rock spark and I think the rock side mainly affects and leads their choices! They recently caught up with a new album and it looks superb, magically embraced by alternative hints and some lovely chorus as in the usual preferences of the band! The sound can be quirky at times, it makes you imagine the space, a love lost or even the relief of being close to the ones you love! These are the right emotions the album grants me, listening to the alternative artists always help you overcome the pointless commercial tunes! If you get over the boundaries you wipe out so many bands because you understand they were not as deserving as they seemed! The Wombats never let you down, they have a groundbreaking sound; only three guys providing the sound of an orchestra! It'd be needed to play along with ten members if you thought to be that impressive! They break the mould and scare teenagers off! They write for lighting up the keenest fans, basically to spice up our souls! I'm addicted to this all and I'm not ashamed of showing up with such a powerful mark! Let's carve it into your heart! Promise yourself that you'll never betray the alternative rock scene! If you agree with all of that don't shirk clicking thumbs up!

LYRICS: I had no cares in the 1990's I knew of no downfalls The war was breaking out all around me My concerns were with prank calls She kissed me on the cheek She kissed me on the cheek Right in front of the older kids When my self-belief, my self belief Wasn't scarred by the modern itch 'cause now it feels like We kissed with one eye on our TV set And the more I give, the less I get Using fairground rides just to spark her smile This little hit to miss, bring back 1996, bring back 1996 So hard to beat those teenage kicks, bring back 1996 We were cloning sheep in the 1990's We were building telescopes And sugar filled the whole of my body As I edged it all to grow I kissed her on the cheek I kissed her on the cheek Just to impress the older kids But my self-belief, my self-belief Wasn't lost in the modern glitch 'cause now it feels like We kissed with one eye on our TV set And the more I give, the less I get Using fairground rides just to spark her smile This little hit to miss, bring back 1996, bring back 1996 Stop talking, stop talking I need a lover not a friend tonight I'm leaving, I'm leaving I'm not cut out for the modern life I'll never beat those teenage kicks I'll never beat those teenage kicks I'll never beat those teenage kicks Bring back 1996

Honestly, as somebody around your age, I used to think this way a lot. Then I got diagnosed with autism, cut a lot of needless energy draining habits out of my life, stopped trying to shame myself into conformity, and suddenly found myself happier than I remembered being since I was 7 years old. Whenever your personal "1996" was, you enjoyed that time because you appreciated it in the moment, you weren't overextended, and your life was full of things that met your needs and made you happy. That can always happen again. :)
