3:08 A good mnemonic for English speakers for ענני is to note how much it both resembles "answer me" and also means the same thing. Hence, removing the S, R and M sounds, adding an extra N, stressing the second rather than the first syllable, and getting "aneni". Isn't language amazing?

שלום לך. Just how intelligible would this be to a Modern Hebrew speaker that has never read the Tanakh? I mean, Modern Ashkenazi pronunciation is already being used, to begin with. Plus I notice a significant overlap between Modern and Biblical Hebrew, with the former being derived artificially from the latter, of course, and not having evolved naturally like all other world languages but rather revived.

Biblical and Modern Hebrew share the same alphabet, vowels and many words, but the grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary is different. Ashkenazis and Sephardics use different pronunciation, accent and punctuation. In my videos you hear a more modern pronunciation with what I think is the “happy middle” between the Ashkenazi and Sephardic styles. I hope that helps 😉🙏
