For the tank commander, you should name him Hans Handsup. The metal gears you mentioned are final drive sprockets. To replace a track on real tanks we get the end of an open track over the final drive sprocket with the old track still under the tank but opened and drive the tank onto the new track then join the track up using a track clamp to pull the ends of the track together then put a link rod through the track and bolt that at both ends with locking bolts.

Wayne, one track should be longer than the other one I forget which track is longer, it makes the tank turn sharp.

The metal cogs are called drive sprockets and the 2 rods are whip aerials. More concerned as soon as it hits a bump or something that it may snap or break something off as it looks very fragile where the wheels are.

@@cwmbc Would have thought they would have used a metal hull and suspension as i had a plastic RC car model and it had plastic suspension and it snapped after a few bumps. For price i can get a fully 2 pro painted Heng long upgraded versions. Yeh i noticed the gear boxes look weak and the smoke pipes have no clamps to stop them popping off.

Wayne, it seems you need to bend that red LED on the new board you switched to let it reach its designed hole on the side of the tank.

Couldn’t wait had to put the tracks on mine defo only need 79 much too loose with 81 and I also won’t be screwing the body down until fully tested I squeezed the last link in with a small vice I have better than pliers because of the with of the tracks

I noticed that the left hand clear tube in the hull had a kink in it. If this is some sort of exhaust tube, you may have to trim a couple of mill of it to enable it to work better. Brilliant work love your channel
