The 4 screws that were placed in the haul pieces Wayne are for magnets that looks like the engine compartment placement for the removable section of the haul to see the working engines.

Hey Wayne. After going through a marathon build of this. I discovered that when you do the pieces of the hull, Do the upper section(black piece) First. Then the lower section. It lays right over without having to force it into place.

I am recommending the use of a quarter inch ratchet along with shallow torx bits for the hull pieces. It will be a bit easier to tighten up those screws with a ratchet instead of the allen key you’re using. You can use an extension when securing the bottom hull pieces too. I plan on doing this once I get to that point. Any auto parts store will have it… and even a Walmart or store like that in the UK. Thank you for adding me to your list. I appreciate it 😊

Watching this video has made me think to myself how much I wish I had the money to do this model right now. It would be pretty sharp if you could use a bunch of them Mike lane knight rider mod screens to put black and white videos of Victorian age people walking through the model doing stuff in the ship.

I'm upto 80-83 next.. should get it in a couple weeks since I just paid this month's fee for my next batch.. looking forward to start on these ones.. I had to use some sort of wood glue on the wood sheets of the structure because the adhesives suck on them and they sometimes don't stick.

For the BM screws in the hull, COULD those possibly be for magnetization? I mean, that's the section you're able to remove to show the engine room, so maybe the screws will be the part the magnets stick to so you can take it off? Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me, but it's the only explanation I can think of.

The screws that went in and weren't holding anything are for the magnetic plate to let you see the engine room

Someone beat me to it. Those unused screws are to give the magnets something to stick to that hold the cover on for that bit.

Is anyone having any issues with a gap when you put the bridge deck and lay it on the metal hull? My bridge deck is not straight for some reason and there is a bit of a gap, as it does not lay perfectly flat against the metal hull. Any thoughts/ideas from anyone building it?

Ok thank you. I'm at the same stage as you, but the white bridge deck has a curve on the bottom (not flat) and I don't know if that is intentional or if there is a problem. I'm seeing a bunch of other people saying they have noticed this curve too. I'm worried that if I don't address it now, that I will get too far into the build and have a big gap at the end when I put all of the decks together onto the hull@@WorldofWayneUK

​@@pattersonmichael it's sheer, most liners had this back in the day, its ment to be curved, it'll all pull together properly when we screw it all in place don't be worried, I'd be upset if it didn't have a curve.
