Mariusz because he was so dominant right off the bat. He absolutely demolished Big Z on that overhead press. Big Z is a total tank for taking that stone to the chest though😂 Jon Pall‘s events looked the most fun though. Strongman was more functional strength stuff, heavier versions of blue colour tasks, really strange events and the occasional world record on an SBD movement back then. It was pretty much, what CrossFit is trying to be.

Pudzianoski was not only amazing in strength and speed he really gave strongman a lift, a lot of today's strongmen owe the early strongmen a big thank you for building the sport, back in the old days they all lost money training and competing, they done it for the love of the sport

@@DavidVirtanen my point is in that competition, JP shouldn't have won. So I believe he's more of a 3x champ, but I think your argument of him smoking people in 87 is valid, and willing to bring him back to 4x in my brain. End of the day, the wins they have are the wins they have, and what ifs stay in the realm of obscurity
