I took a viewer's advice and lopped off the "cheesy intro" of the previous video of this barn find. Need your feedback on this, which is better?

Hi Jerry. I went for a ride in Independence down 23rd street 6500 rpms fourth gear very violent very fast. That car is the real deal. Joe was the carb man for Dick Harrell. Car was a world record holder in New York, when he raced it. Great to see it again, thank you!!

@thewriter2549 Hello, I know someone who knew Dick Harrell personally and bought Dick's personal drag racing Camaro from him. We live near Fort Lauderdale. I'd be glad to share what I now of Mr. Harrell. Its my educated opinion, that's a special Camaro you have. Feel free to reach out.

@@skywatcher442 I wrote a story on this for my "Rare Finids" column in Muscle Car Review, so I never had it. The guy that bought the car restored it.

I used to live literally 1 block away from Dick Harrell's old shop at 11114 Hickman Mills Dr. Long after it was closed down of course. One time I went snooping around the back of the shop.. dreaming of stumbling across a forgotten pallet of rare speed parts, a pair of Halibrand wheels buried in a pile of leaves, etc. Lol

Wasn't close to a pizza parlor, was it? LMAO.

I lived close too. Rode my bicycle there. I remember Wes Jerde took over the shop after Dick Harrell died. Valerie Harrell rode my school bus and was a year behind me.

I agree I like this format better. Maybe every once in awhile do the fun one. Hope you do an update when the new owner gets it running. I would put new brakes and everything to get it running safely, but the body I would leave alone.

You were being too nice, but I've seen the light and will cut the cheese. I mean those introductions made the upcoming video sound like a major motion picture with a million dollar budget. I'm LOL. Help me.

There are Rare cars,and there a Rarely Driven.It's worse to let a Gem set and rot.(rear axles rust inside and their bearings too,without rotation,just in weeks.)Brakes absorb moisture and seize to drums and rotors,etc.That exhaust has a mouse nest in it where it broke apart.Use 'washing machine drain strainers'to cap your stored for winter.

You gotta do you Jerry, but i get what the complainers are on about... these days people are so used to the "right now" thing. Guess nobody remembers the days when these vehicles were new and running around. Mail took a week, You only needed 5 more bottle cap liners to get this or that. and Sundays with Walt Disney or Ed Sullivan after supper.
@thewriter25496 жыл бұрын
Yeah, good analysis Bubba, I thought the intro was zippy and introduced the people and the content, but after that guy said my intro was "cheesy" I got to thinking maybe I was working too hard at this. I want to attract viewers, so what to do?
@TheCanadianBubba6 жыл бұрын
I gotta be honest, the pirate map and font were a little out there for a car channel... There is one "intro" that is really good, blocks go whizzing out from your name, If you get sponsored by whoever put them next. Get as many different views and pictures as you can to give different shots of the content while talk is happening, documents, owner stills, and walk arounds all well focused and full screen need only be a few seconds long, we can pause and look at them without you using valuable time. Closing thoughts and your last two cents can play over your credits screen. That's how I would do it.
@thewriter25496 жыл бұрын
Yes, I am getting the pictures, funny how details make a difference, but what do you mean by "blocks go whizzing out from your name?"
