The violin being lead instrument makes sense, the violinist, Ayasha, is the band founder and leader. This was their very first song, released last August. I don't know when the 'looking elsewhere' started, but I would say it kicked into a higher gear when the world shut down, it did for me.

East of Eden is a band from the 1970s they were a one hit wonder with a rocking track called Jig a Jig (available on KZbin)

Rock and Metal are not dead, they live in Japan nowadays, thank god..Here in Western World we are so behind, mostly..We have our Nightwish etc but generally we are in trouble..Okey, East Of Eden, great supergroup..basist Waka is playin’ in Marty Friedman’s tour band, Loving her style. " Sadly there has always been a horrendously parochial attitude to " overseas " music in America and it is a monumental task to try and break down the barriers that America has over the past 50 years built around itself musically . Hopefully in a few more years channels like yours will enable more Americans to start looking outwards at the wonderful world of music that is out there and stop thinking " Rock " consists of Mottley Crue pretending to play their instruments and reading their words off a cue card 😉 More power to your elbow Eric - keep spreading the message !

Akane, the lead singer, has a fairly long history of singing professionally. She was the co-center (with Rumina Murasaki) of the idol group Predia for about ten years before they group disbanded about a year before East of Eden formed. Also, she and Rumina were in a small acoustic group with Akane Hirose and Kanami Tono from Band-Maid before Band-Maid really began to take off.

She just got "married" this week. The legal papers were signed back in 2022 when Japan was still in COVID lockdowns, but she finally got to have her wedding ceremony this week. She posted about it on her Twitter feed.

Another amazing group from Asia comes out of South Korea and has toured the USA Rolling Quartz an all female K-Rock band with hits like "Fearless", "Azalea" and "Sing Your Heart Out"

This is a very talented group of ladies. All are well know outside of this "Super group" formation. The lead singer (Akane) was actually in a group with Kanami (lead guitar) and Akane (Drums) from BAND-MAID years ago. Speaking of BAND-MAID, you should give their live video "Hate?" a go. Good evening Mr Clark: A band you have yet to touch is Eleine, from Sweden. A hard working band with a heady mix of heavy music from Rickard Eckberg, Jesper Sunnhagen and sweet vocals from Madeleine Liljestam. They are listed as Symphonic Metal but I disagree with the designation. I would peg them closer to goth metal and gritty black metal. I have been a long time follower. Eleine is not a metal sounding band name originates from Madeleine's first name. I understand you are swamped with requests, but I thought I would throw my suggestion forward into the fray also. This is not for America. As much as I love Yuki and Wakazaemon(sub to them both), this will never get anywhere in the U.S. or UK markets. It is way too generic and sounds like it might be made for Japanese radio. There is no catchiness in this, no hooks. It reminds me of lonesome blue, another band I gave a couple shots and never listened to again.
