Each of those improved AT-AT variants is worth about 5 grand. In other words, you lost the Bothan homeworld, but dealt over 15 thousand credits in damage to the Empire.

ODSTbag337 That is true, so really, the loss was kinda worth it, credit wise. The Empire may have won, but they payed for that victory dearly. I think they had, at minimum, 1 AT-AT and AT-ST units or something like that left. I think Shack could've actually won that if those TIE Bombers didn't arrive.

Ouch you lost Bothawai that's a pretty big world to lose as the Rebels since it gives you sensor data on a lot of the systems close by plus if they take Kamino and Rothana the Empire will be able to build Acclamators and get good infantry to cheap I'll admit it though for once I think you handled that situation at Bothawai a lot better then I would of cause at least you took out 3 elite AT-AT's and both of his heros which btw the Empire isn't getting those guys back anytime soon my advice would to fortify the living hell out of Kamino and Rothana and try taking back Bothawai but in order to do that I'm afraid you'll have to take out the Hutt's entirely to achieve that.

Captain Shack, this is lieutenant commander Aj "the pokey" jarl and I have a message from rebel high command. Apparently the company Slayn and Korpils, who's hq is located at the Roche astroid belt is an old star fighter manufacturer for the galactic republic during the clone wars. They developed the v19 torrent and a few other crafts and they have bee tasked by Admiral Ackbar to develop a new advanced and powerful bomber that he calls the "B-wing". You won't happen to know anything about the B-wing would you? That is all for now Captain. For the Rebellion!!!

Going to try this once again, not all corvettes in this mod are anti-fighter, even the CR90's you use aren't dedicated anti-fighter ships, though they are fairly good at that. A lot of corvettes have some turbolasers, letting them act as support against big ships. The CR90 with the black engine section that most criminal factions use are even less effective against fighters, but have stronger turbolasers and armor. The Imperial Carrack cruisers are not anti-fighter ships, I've tried using them for that in my own campaign and I can assure you they can't hit even the slowest of fighters. The thinner and brighter Lancer corvettes, however, are very powerful against fighters with tons of laser cannons and high speed, so watch out for those.

Taking ord ibanna will give a hugeeeeee credit boost. It can build the same mines that bespin can. I highly recommend taking it. Also, build build build Rebel camps and at least lvl 1 space stations. They give some much needed credits to the rebel cause. (Edit) you can only get tech three after taking corusant and the other planets to become the new republic. Then you can build the winged mc80 and many other attractive looking ships.

Actually once you go NR you can't make MC80 wings anymore (you get more advanced MCs) you have to get tech 3 to build the winged MC80s.

The AI gets vision of the entire map Shack, I learned this in a Republic at War campaign after watching the AI 1: call in bombing runs without any vision of my troops from across the map every time they had one available and 2: instantly retreat from Rothana after seeing the vehicular doomstack I had staioned on the planet over and over again. So yeah, the AI cheats.

Backseat gamer rant time. That last mission was painful. *Never* assign 2 airspeeders to wrap one AT-AT: The game will wait until ALL the airspeeders finish wrapping or are dead before destroying the walker. The game does this specifically to discourage spamming 9 airspeeders on a walker to doom it. Engage multiple Walkers at once instead. 2 Airspeeders, not one, respawned during the base assault and you neglected one of them leading to it dieing to flak fire That could have been useful given there were only 3 AT-ATs left at the end. You exfiltrated the airspeeders directly in front of the AT-ATs' firing arcs *multiple times, even though you could have just as easily left through the back.* Letting the power generator eat shots from the AT-AT when you had sacrificial units instead meant the last turret was useless. Leaving all your units in one clump when you KNEW the enemy had orbital bombardments! You're better than this Shack I KNOW you are! But you did clear out the chaff first which was good. Killing the support first makes it so even a single hovertank can kill AT-ATs buy running up behind the rearmost walker and cherry tapping it as it turns around. Many Bothans died because of this! Make sure you know what to do next time.

Shack does a lot of little things in his actual gameplay, like the famous failed spot checks all over, not looking at the minimap or even seeming to hear direct-to-player audio messages half the time, as well as little stuff like 'try to run away- into a wall', 'stand there and get bombarded to death because it looks cool', etc. It's never enough to make me quit in disgust or anything ofc, this series is still very entertaining, but you have to look at it more like a dramatic story where sometimes the good guys just drop the ball, versus some MLG level play imo.

A good thing to know about AT-AT's, if they aren't moving, snowspeeder cables will just uselessly fall off. Also, on the bright side of the battle of Bothawui, you took at a pretty useful hero and cost them about 15,000 credits in AT-AT's alone.

Interesting episode. Notes to take. 1] the rebellion needs to build a better replacement for the landspeeder. If we can't, then we need to Always approach the AtAt from behind or towards the back from a side. 2] the at ats and combat deployed clone dropships showed up as soon as you unlocked heavy vehicles, including the gallifrey transport. 2] now that the rebellion has been blooded against at ats we can figure more tactics to defeat them when they support imperial operations on the deck. The take away I guess, is come in from behind and or try ground support flyer units like the officer attached z95 or rogue squadron ground flying operations against the at ats and see if that's a wise maneuver. I don't think you've sent then against the metal dogs yet.

On the formations topic around 32 mins, if you ever played Battlestations: Pacific, it's mostly direct control with planes and ships, pretty arcade, but there was some strategy to it. The naval part of the game was just amazing, I'd check it out if you like WW2, the IJN was fucking lit. But you could link about 10 ships together with the map and a button press, and there was a menu to set up your ships and make basically as complex of a formation you wanted with it, drag and drop, as long as there was a certain amount of space between ships. In real time as well. So you could have a battleship or carrier in the center, and then place cruisers and destroyers around it to screen it. You could have some destroyers or pt boats in a fast attack group etc. You could shift it however or whenever you wanted, it was neat as hell and really didn't get the praise it deserved imo. The planes were separate but you could set them to escort and guard friendlies as well just by holding a button. Was lit. The best thing was the places in the formation were locked, so the ships would try to stay as close to that locked spot as possible until you split them from the fleet or there was an obstacle like land they'd need to go around. They still dodged torps too. If you turn the lead ship left, the ships on the left would slow down to stay on the inside and the ships on the right would speed up to hold it. If you moved them around in the fleet they would shift around. It was fast, easy to set up, and worked great. Would be nice if someone could mod it into EAW if they don't throw something like it into a sequel. Only downside was if you tried to reverse or put your ships too close they would get confused. That and having planes crash into the superstructures of ships you put in front of your carriers :/ PSA for anyone who looks at it on Steam, if you buy it, it's really derpy, if it even works at all. It's not set for windows 10+ idk if it even worked on 8. You gotta get an independent patch for it or something. I played it on 360 and loved it. Had 0 probs. Keep up the EAW though Shack. One of my KZbin highlights each week.

Shack, at least in Vanilla Empire at War, an AT-AT will only succumb to tow cable if it is moving - if it stays perfectly still, the cable just falls off. So that may be why two of your cable attempts didn't pay off.

The Empire strikes back is what the episode is like. INTEL REPORT: You desperately need to get the artillery, and start building the high class Veteran infantry on Kashyyyk. Remove the corruption on Kashyyyk because it has slavery from the corruption, and it makes the Black Sun build Wookiee Slaves. I think it is about time to upgrade space tech whenever you start racking up some credits. Turn the Maw into your own Starfighter production base, if you build some high end individual fighters to do some hit and run attacks or lightning strikes, or put them into your fleet for sneak attacks. I have heard the unfortunate turns of events on what happened to Bothawi sorry for your losses there Captain, many Bothans died there and will be missed. Their sacrifices will not be in vain. For the Rebellion.

Shack, you should ask the mod devs if they could install the artillery walker from episode 3 onto the liberation. They could do it as an upgrade in the same way dreadnought ships can be upgraded. Maybe in orbit of rothana? Also maybe be able to upgrade rebel one with droid star fighters to increase its effectiveness. Could have it become available at space tech 2. Just as a way to stop them from becoming redundant in a sea of MC80 variants. Enjoying your videos, keep it up.

The new clone wars is definitely going to contain the unfinished episodes from season 7-8 that were never aired. You can tell because of the hanger scene where Anakin looks up to a Republic fleet next to Rex and other guy (part of a strike team from unfinished episodes)
