And for flagship phone etc. No. It doesn't matter what phone you got, and especially on a 1k flagship phone its just stupid from the get go to kill your battery life for emulation. On lower end phones the same, even if they come close or are good enough for your needs theres no point in having to transfer all your data over again to another low end phone once the battery dies down instead of just getting a specialized handheld that's either cheaper if your needs are low (maybe up to PSP) or about the same price either way and offers better cooling because you know... they were made for running on that load unlike a phone.

You cannot get a rk3566 device (which is the bare minimum for N64, PSP, Dreamcast, and Saturn to run well. The controller design was AMAZING, why are other manufacturers not making a controller style retro handheld with the 50 thousands different designs they have out. But they cannot get the entire device done right, the controls on the M25 were horrible. I have an M19 which is their rg35XX clone, the d-pad on that and buttons were great but the shoulder buttons were placed in the most ridiculous place as to make it unusable, and it didn't have a function button!!! Linus, the RK3566 is a POWERFIUL chip for the $50 range it sells in. I paid $48 for mine, and $42 for the M19! most 3566 devices sell in the 70 dollar plus range. But ya those controls make what could have been great budget handhelds unusable. I'm hoping they do better with their next device. I mean clearly they have access to decent dpads and sticks like the ones they used on the M19, so why the heck not just use those in the M25, come on Sjgam, we told you we liked the dpad and buttons on the M19 and then instead of using them on your next device you put the literal cheapest crap you could find in it???

The joysticks are just utilising directional inputs like the dpad, makes them feel even worse then they already are. Software fix tho.

NGL, the image on the thumbnail looked a little gray to me and I thought you had some sort of "PS1 classic edition" of the portal.

Looks like Linus was playing the Master System version of The Lion King. More than likely he played the Genesis/Mega Drive or SNES version of the game growing up.

would have been nice to see how it compares to one of those similarly priced controllers that you put a phone into. Yeah you'd have to load up the games yourself but seeing as it's just an unmodified emulator software i'd likely be worth it if the controller was better. plus your phone likely has a way better cpu/gpu/screen than that.

Man, if the actual PlayStation Portal was that tiny and chunky shape and size I would actually get one. I'd even settle for this actual "SJGAM" thing if it was an actual SteamDeck alternative instead of some scammer's piracy junk. The chunkiness of the plastic and the tiny adorable screen size is just top tier. Everything else about this appears hilariously bad.
