By Chess rules the puzzles where the King captures the King would technically be stalemates for kings can not be within a space of the other king

It would be legal if our king started somewhere higher up and then dropped down on the opponent. Because then our king would never end its move in a position where the opponent can take him. But yes, some of the puzzles do indeed ignore this rule.

Remember, there is no reason to ever promote a pawn to a rook or bishop. Occasionally, a knight, but otherwise only a queen
