As we reached the south of Vancouver Island we spend an entire week sleeping at peoples places. That NEVER happens to us. But then what happened in Vancouver Island, Salt Spring Island and Vancouver? Well, it happens that at the other side of the world, in this region stuck between the ocean and the mountains, many of our friends settled. From Europe a trip to British Columbia is very far. In this episode, we get to literally drive to their doorstep. What an amazing sensation. This week we reconnect with friends we did not see in 18 years, 5 years, 6 months, or even that we only met online. What a boost of energy! Thank you all of you for the amazing time together!

Fun video. Vancouver is a special place. I spent some time there in the late 70s. It's a much different place now. You will enjoy the American Pacific Northwest. It was my home for 8 years. Beautiful place. Have fun.

There is so much to see here, so many national parks and so many great cities and states, there are 10 tropical states with palm trees, white sand beaches and turquoise waters, many mountain ranges, deserts, some of the most unique and rare landscapes in the world, Biggest trees on earth in Sequoia national park, thousands of waterfalls, The Grand Canyon, Colorado Rockies, and so much more!

I don't know what your route is, but if you are near northern Arizona you might want to visit Barringer Crater (it's a meteorite impact crater) - if you are into that sort of thing. It's the best preserved meteorite crater on Earth, and 4,000 feet (1,200 metres) in diameter and about 600 feet (180 metres) deep.

I hope your travels in the USA will be safe and fun! It will be different for you, I think, as Europeans. Alaska is pretty wild. In the Lower 48 every state has its own flavor, but suburbia is the same just about everywhere! In general Americans are very friendly and helpful! I hope that will be true for you!

I am spending the winter in Vancouver. It is the only place that I could find where I can golf, ski and sail all on the same day in January plus this is one of the best places in the world to be in case you become ill. Did you have your electrical system checked while you were in Vancouver? If not, go into virtually any RV or marine centre and have it fixed properly / safely. BTW, at one point in this episode, you were within approximately 200 feet of my house.

I saw your video the other day of your 6-month review and I just wanted to share with you a story. I watched another couple travel in Europe and then in Canada and America and by the time they got to Mexico they were done and decided to go home. The main problem was just seeing so much that the mind has a hard time taking it in and the constant traveling. After watching them I would suggest that when you find a place you like, stay there for a week or a month in an Airbnb. You need to take a break and stay in a place for a little bit and refresh yourself and then get back in the defender. I could tell when you were in Vancouver that you guys were just so exhausted. You have 3 years so take your time stay in a place for a week or so and a house so you can shower and you can cook and you can just watch Netflix and chill! That's my advice from seeing World Travelers. Otherwise you're going to be so burned out and exhausted and your head filled with just way too much to take in. During your rests you can just go through the defender and check it all out.
