I didn't even realize I had drawn the fire scene as many times as I have, it's tied with Tigerstar's death for number of times I've done a rendition of it! :O

I really love the composition. Most digital artists I see drawing this scene make ashfur yelling at squirrelflight while squirrelflight cry’s or begs. Sometimes also ashfur looking depressed as squirrelflight yells at him. But I really love this because it shows the whole scene it has meaning behind it. It also represents both there characters throughout the books and the scene perfectly. Because squirrelflight wouldn’t back down from a fight and neither would ashfur after squirrelflight dumped him. And I’m not even gonna get started on the background or else this comment would be WAY to long. But basically this is good shit

most people don't even show how angry Squirrelflight is they always make her sad in these speed paints yet she's actually kinda VERY mad and I believe in the books she yelled at Ashfur in anger "THEY ARE NOT MY KITS!!" So that's why I like about this you actually showed the true emotion at that time and that fire background oml it's so amazing most realistic fire I've seen in a speed paint plus most people make Squirrelflight a very bright orange. I don't think she's a bright orange she's a dark ginger color it even says so in the books and you actually got it correct and most people think Squirrelflight has white on her mouth, tail, stomach, and muzzle no she only has white on her one paw those parts are a lighter ginger color. You actually got the colors right :') unlike a lot of people who always think opposite and think they're right and most don't even bother to add that bright color of fire shining on their fur or most I've seen. Good job on this amazing art (Edit: Never expected so many likes and never expected a war over this one comment;-; bravo for me...)

I do believe as some of the earlier books squirrel was featured in (the new prophecy), featured her as a ginger cat.

I totally design Squirrelflight with a lot of bright orange and white to make her look original. And for the dark ginger, i actually use more a reddish brown than a dark orange color.

it would be way better if it went like this: bad ending: squirrelflight tells him the "they aren't my kits." but instead of letting them go, ashfur knows how much she loves them, and even If they aren't hers, if they died she would still be hurt as if they were her own. ashfur leaps across the tree bridge, pretending to save them, but yanks the bridge out from the area, grabs a burning twig and sets the three on fire, allowing squirrelflight to see every last bit of it. with no hollyleaf to kill him he can reveal the secret at the gathering. good ending: same as the original, but when the three confront their adoptive mother, she lies and claims she only told him that so he would let them go. when ashfur reveals the secret at the gathering, firestar confronts him, asking how he got the knowledge. squirrelflight speaks up and her and the three reveal everything to the gathering.

I'm Brazilian and I don't have full access to the books, but could someone explain to me why she told me the puppies aren't hers? Has Ashfur threatened her? To this day, I haven't been able to understand that.

Ashfur threatened to kill the three (hollyleaf, jayfeather and lionblaze) to make squif fell the same pain he did when she rejected him. The three are not squilfs, but Leafpools kits. Leafpool as a medicine cat was not allowed to have kittens, even more so because the father is windclan. Squif took in the kit's and pretened it was hers. At the fire scene when ashfur threatened to kill squilfs kits, squif says 'Kill them then, they are not my kits' I don't fully remember what happens after. Hope this helped!
