I'm a Certified Herbalist and Traditional Naturopath and absolutely love Elderberry. It is a great antiviral and something that is good for children, pregnant and elders. I've been using elderberry for over 5 years to support my immune system. I only use black elderberry. I've used it in capsule form for over 10 years but recently planted a black lace elderberry that developed berries and am using it in a tonic. I planted two different elderberry plants this year and am looking forward to making more things elderberry next year. I have made elderflower syrup along with other herbs for a children's cough syrup that has great medicinal benefits. Mary Born, ND

I've been doing a deep dive on viruses and how they're "isolated" in a lab and it's led me to believe they don't actually exist in Nature. If you look at allll the papers, in the methods section of their experiments, they use diseased cells, monkey kidney cells, and fetal bovine serum. They starve the cells, treat them with antibiotics, most add non-essential amino acids and minimal nutrients. Once they've stressed the culture for days or weeks, then they use formaldehyde and other chemicals to kill the culture and prepare it for electron microscopy, where they add more chemicals, dyeing agents, and encapsulate the culture medium in resin, which then has to harden before they can slice the material they want to view. Only then can they see the product of their experimental soup. No virus has actually ever been isolated within a diseased person, without mixing a bunch of different diseased cells, growth medium from different species, starving the cultures, using antibiotics, etc. Even polio was found after taking brain tissue from dead babies, brain tissue from dead monkeys, and shoved up the nose of mice and monkeys. None of this actually happens in Nature. You don't have fetal bovine serum being cultured in your body. I absolutely love elderberry and believe it enhances our body, but it isn't actually an anti-viral l, as leading scientists and doctors have proven the viral particles don't exist without the aforementioned processes. It is so sad what they're doing to these poor animals, trying to find ways cells become pathogenic.

So interesting and informative! In March 2020, I started eating 1 or 2 "Zarbee's black elderberry" gummies every day. Not sure if that's a good formulation or not; it was just the one I found on the shelf at several stores including Whole Foods & Costco. They're delicious enough that I could get my teenager to occasionally eat one. I pretty much did not get sick for two and a half years, other than a 24-hour bug over the winter, and another very mild 24 hour cold which tested positive for C19. These gummies have C and zinc. I also tried to eat oysters as often as possible for the zinc! By the way, it's so heartwarming to see these homesteaders who have huge families of 8, 9, 10 children, living off the land and eating naturally, home schooling. Maybe not huge numbers as yet, but it's a growing movement and it gives us hope for the future. God bless you all!

I grew up eating elderberries by the handful, in PA. They usually grow along a ditch orsome low water. My mother made elderberry pie and elderberry jelly. I don’t recall us ever being ill with colds or flu, until many years later, the elderberry was plowed under for a driveway. I haven’t found any in decades. Be VERY sure it IS elderberry and not some other ‘birdberry’, as we called everything else!!

The Elderberry tree use to be the symbol for the Mother goddess, aside from the flowers and the berries the young shoots are also edible and the rotting wood produces edible mushrooms we call Judasears.

The first time I heard about Elderberries was when I tried a beer made from it by Williams Brothers Brewery. A Scottish craft brew company that used to export to North America. That's not the case anymore unfortunately.

Been using elderberry for years. It's the real deal for medicine. We use the berries for muffins and fermented in honey or other baked goods. Also berry syrup and flower tincture for medicine. Never had an issue eating American elderberry raw but I hadn't eaten them in huge quantities at once. Elderberry may have been what saved me from having the convids. Darn near killed me. However treated with tons of various herbs including elderberry, honey fermented garlic, and adaptagenic mushrooms. May not be here today if I hadn't used elderberry during the infection(or poisoning whatever you believe).

Are the health benefits of the American Elderberry and the European Elderberry equivalent I wonder? I have an autoimmune disease and this sounds very interesting. I actually have a mature elderberry bush in my garden, but unfortunately because it's a North facing garden all the berries and leaves grow into the neighbours garden, and she's extremely private😢

Trim your brush back take your trimmings and put them in water let them get root bound and replant them some where else. Or take your trimmings and dip them in a root growth powder and put them in potting soil and plant them some where else. Make sure you find out what kind plant is. They have this app. On your phone that you just pointed your phone at and it tells you that type of plant you have .

Do the majority of your elderberries come from John's property ?
@walkerfamilyhomestead
@walkerfamilyhomestead Жыл бұрын
Because of the huge volume we are doing, especially this year, we are buying certified organic berries in bulk. John wasn't able to produce his own berries to keep up with the demand either. We are currently going through 100+ lbs of dry berries each month - which equals 600-800 lbs of fresh berries! Thats a whole lot of plants and picking!

@walkerfamilyhomestead
@walkerfamilyhomestead Жыл бұрын
We had 1 A2 cow at one point and kept her milk separate for our customers, but found that there wasn't a large demand for her milk specifically. Several of our friends thought they needed A2 but it turns out it was just the pasteurization that was giving them troubles and they handled raw perfectly fine. Thats obviously not the case for everyone...

I really wish you two (Caroline and Josh) would get back to doing the regular, full length pantry chats TOGETHER, at the same table in the same room. Got to say I am not really pleased with the current direction you are going in. It's like, for me, you are getting too big to be much good or interest to me. Makes me sad because I use to learn so much from you two.
