The thing, Roman has no reason to be mad at this. It wasn't even a jab at him but against the incompetent and baffling out of touch creative team. Punk even pointed out to them that if they wanted to make Roman look strong, just let him win but the creative was insistent that Punk go over in that match (TLC 2013). Ultimately, Punk actually put over Roman and made him look strong, and this was before the Shield broke up.

Roman vs cm punk will probably have a much longer storyline heading into summerslam for 2 nights. Nahh you’re wrong. That triple threat is way too loaded. It just makes Rollins look jealous. And it would deviate from having a meaningful payoff. Having all 3 feud would cause a watered down storyline because you’d have to focus on each person’s issues but also allow for an appropriate amount of screentime. Throwing Rollins into the feud would make him third wheel. Really in the end, it would be Rollins & Reigns vs Punk. Not a 3 way

It’s also funny because Punk got over as one of the biggest stars in the world despite the WWE machine never being behind him and at times actively being against him. Roman on the other hand essentially got everything handed to him on a silver fucking platter. It didn’t matter that the crowd hated Roman for years. He was still always given a mega push. Punk on the other hand was consistently so over but wasn’t ever given what he deserved. That’s the story right there. Unfortunately I don’t think they fully go there because I think Roman would come off as too much of a heel if they went that route and they’re not going to do that

I think Roman Vs Rock at WM is more likely. It just seems the most appropriate end game for the bloodline dispute and you can have the punk Vs Seth rivalry happen at the same time. Rock Vs Cody could maybe happen later on down the line and then you free up Roman for punk and/or Seth. I really like the idea of those three feuding together. Could make for a hell of a run to summerslam. There's so much history there, you could play so many different angles, you could include so many other characters into it and if you could somehow pull off a miracle and add Ambrose to the mix..... It would be epic.
