Accelerator is not good since long ago,its nothing new,it has fallen off in DPS when it got nerfed,which was MONTHS ago. Especially for solo i do not recomend taking it. Just the fact that to beat hardcore,the easiest way is NOT to use accelerator,says a lot.

Just keep in mind, its unreliable late game since all it takes is one stomp for all your built up goons to die and accelarator has a bigger placement limit. W/ commander G crookboss deals 285.7 DPS at max, assuming on average 1 set of goons is attacking at a time, 2 pistol goons is 6 dps, one bodyguard is 120DPS, which is approximately 411.7 DPS, but still keep in mind of the placement limit.
