As a lefty I really enjoy axis lock knives. I’d love to pick an mini Adamas up. Something about the style of it actually looks pretty cool.

Mine was a little rough out of the box. 5 days later, of opening and closing the knife repeatedly and it is now perfect and smooth action. I didnt adjust anything

Polish the washers and locktite the pivot once you get drop shut action. Polish the washers makes a HUGE difference. 10 figure 8s on the strop is all you need and some KPL.

Definatly a great work knife and although not the best for fidgeting the axis lock will hold up really well against hard use. Thanks for the look see Kevin and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

This burgundy is really nice but I'll have to settle for the magnamarblefiber one for looks and the black one as my favorite tough user.

The ritter hogue in magnacut and green g-mascus is the harder edc knife I carried before I got my mini adamas, funny that knife showed up. Pound for pound I would say the ritter hogue is the best folding knife on the market. The ergonomics are objectively more comfortable than the mini adamas, even. But at the same time the ritter feels kind of boring. I prefer the mini adamas because I'm a cruwear fanboy and this is a slab of it and the knife looks more badass, almost like a more refined cold steel design.

I have this exact model. I used it to cut some blue styrofoam and some of the blue has rubbed off onto the blade making it a light shade of blue. Soap and water or alcohol won't take it off. Anybody have any ideas to get it back to normal??
@deadvikingtrolls7 ай бұрын
Not sure what might have happened since your original comment but acetone should do the job unless the cerokote absorbed the dye.

How’s is an Axis lock more difficult to operate if your are left handed brother? the knife is mirrored on both sides… it’s the same for each hand 🤔
@LeftyEDC2 жыл бұрын
Not if the clip isn’t reversed. Im guessing that is what i meant when i said whatever it is i said. Clip comes on the right side. So i probably said something about it being more difficult until i reverse the clip over. But yes they are the same once u flip the clip
@LeftyEDC2 жыл бұрын
And it’s because of when u disengage the lock u use ur fingers on the clip to get stability/leverage for pulling the lock tabs down

Best way to open an axis lock is by pulling the axis open and flicking the blade open ....I never use the thumbstuds

I think the only Benchmade I'd really want would be the Crooked River
@martinmiller10872 жыл бұрын
@Will B ... The Crooked River was very atteactive to me too. I love a big clip point. Even though I don't care much for aluminum bolsters, I bought the larger one. In my hand, it's a lttle awkward to manipulate the opening and closing. I have to always reposition my hand. I find it extremely annoying. I still like the knife, but never carry it daily. ... I've handled the Mini Crooked River. I have no problem with my hand position or manipulating the Axis Lock on it. I've not bought one, but consider the Mini to be better for my needs. ... I've now purchased 20 folders with Axis Locks. Several were gifted. ... The full size Crooked River is the only one to have given me problems with the opening and closing. It's nearly a two hand knife to me.

@@martinmiller1087 I don't actually own an axis lock. As for size, I carry a Hinderer XM-24 every day and use it, so that might tell you something. 👍

Mine's in the mail now. They're sold out at most places guys. If you want this limited edition, don't dawdle. Going, going, ... ... I have zero use for Communist Chinese cutlery, no matter how kewl they are. ... The Chicoms just inked a deal that included naval basing rights with the Solomon Islands. ... During WWII, we invaded Guadalcanal in the eastern Solomons after the Japanese started building an airfield there. It's very close to Australia. If that airfield had gone active, it would have threatened the US/Australian ability to move freight and personnel, back and forth. A Chinese presence in the Solomons completely upsets the military balance in the southeast Pacific.
