@kevinchapman I would still fill out the compensation form on easyjets website, i apreciate it states atc strike comes under the non obligation but if you put in that another flight was not possible etc and you have had to pay all these extras and send them an itemised bill, it couldnt hurt its 250 quid each so worth a punt.

I know how you feel right now. I was due to go to Disney world in Florida October this year but it all got cancelled (thanks Thomas Cook) just know it will make you look forward even more to the next time and it will be an even better holiday!

This happened to me on my 21st birthday. Air traffic control malfunctioned so flights to Paris where cancelled and then sold out for the next week. Our insurance covered everything but air traffic control incidents so we are now out £950 right before Christmas which is heartbreaking.

Easyjet will repay your car hire cost and hotel costs if you give them a call they did for me and they even gave me an extra £150 Easyjet voucher (my flight was also canceled due to french atc strike )

Um, wow! Hope you made it to Disney today then? and hopefully, travel wasn't too rocky after the cancelled planes? I just got in from a blast of a Christmas awards ceremony buffet and disco which felt like that lasted only 5 minutes. I had a mad few songs on the dance floor once it was clear of tables. That involved two hours round trip by car through some lovely British blustery somewhat stormy weather about an hour and a half up the road from Folkstone in not so sunny leafy green Surrey.

Silly fault but would it not be easier just did have a hotel in Luton and just jumped on the train to Saint pancreas and got the Eurostar Disneyland doing so well then going to Folkestone then had to drive from Kelly’s house and then do it then that way all your loss for the car hire
